They moved the start and finish from Los' Anchorage to Fairbanks, this year.

It is a totally different route. It is called "The Northern Route".
Same with our big Minnesota dogsled race, which is called "The John Bear Grease Sled Dog Marathon." They not only moved the date back, but the start was also moved to a location farther north in Minnesota, changed from Duluth to Two Harbors. This is a two-day, 300-mile race. It is normally used as a qualifier for the Iditarod.

2/25/25... Gloomy low overcast, low barometer, south east light breeze, todays high temp 48F.. About 25 or so white tail deer on the Federal Cartridge property are all out grazing like mad all day today.. Predicted possible rain later this week, or snow, depending..

Out today for a short grocery list, McDonalds coffee treat, feed birds and squirrels in park.. Nothing in the mail.. No news is no bad news I guess.. Will get out to the thrift store tomorrow for senior day.. The thrill of the hunt..

NEWS FLASH....
There has been mention of the John Beargrease and Iditarod sled dog races of late...
I just got news from the ...Under Dog 100... out of Yellowknife North West Territories Canada my friends and neighbors from the north are signed up to race this year... The whole family, dad and mom Joe, and Shellie...

And I am the most proud ...bush grandpa... to young mushers Amric (8) and Max (6) who I believe are both in the ...2 dog class... this year..
You go mushers ...eh.... 😍 :thumbs::woo hoo::woo hoo::clapping:
