A pic of hubby and a few of the grandkids in 1997 New Year Party, we usually watched grands when their parents went out to celebrate New Years Eve. Oldest one in pic now is 32.
We'd have a big fish fry with Shrimp 5 ways, fish and coleslaw and HUSHPUPPPIES.

Date is wrong these are pics taken of pics.

Hubby putting together sons toy last xmas we celebrated in 1984. That one put us all in the street aka mamas house. Hubby worked us back into our own place soon though.




Grandkid on our 1964 Larson cuddy cabin boat in 1990 on Matansas River in St Augustine .. She was laughing at all the birds circling.

Taken on way back from St Augustine Beach in our van. about 2015 before the door slamming plant stomping fiasco. Our daughter and her grands and our great grands ages 4 and 8 years old .

Photo from the hill above our Tinsel Tree trail. Businesses and others decorate a tree down in Big Spring. This is where the first settlers were that started Huntsville AL. The spring come from caves under the area I was standing.

@The Lazy L well done and the only way usually to trial things to see if they work is let mother nature at it to test it. As you say if it survived that you did a fantastic job and by the way the wall looks great and you did it at a really minimal price too.

That is not too bad. The biggest threat is rain as snow can hold a lot of water. Steel roofs shed snow well, especially wet snow. This cabin is built on Mt. McKinley and is constructed to withstand the snow and wind in the area. It belongs to a friend of ours. I've been there several times.

Car, Its beautiful and I like to visit snow wonderlands but wouldn't want to live there.
One of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen was when all the trees were covered in ice and snow blanketed the landscape. The other is living colors diving in the ocean.

After you select upload a file just select the picture you want to display.

If I have this figured out I'll share a few pics. These first few are from last summer when we had the total eclipse. I took the day off work and drove to one of our favorite spots up in the mountians that happened to be right in the middle of the path of totality. We had right about 3 minutes of totality there.

Another snow and ice storm vacation is on my bucket list for sure. Glad we now have power in camp grounds. Don't do cold like we use to.

Backlash, you are more than welcome to use the church pic if you'd like. It is an old Methodist church building that was relocated from the area into the Cove at some point. The picture was taken from Rich Mountain Road probably 3 to 5 miles away as the crow flies and 1000-1500' difference in elevation. We had went to the cove that day hoping to get a few good pic right at the end of fall and had a cold front move thru. All the white in the trees is hoar frost except up at the highest elevations where there was about 1" of snow. Driving thru the cover I saw the frost and thought to drive up Rich Mtn on the hopes of getting a good shot from this spot. when the fall colors are at full color it's one of the best locations to shoot from.
