Family of my girlfriend who live in the UK have travelled to Finland for their holiday. The advice was to stay isolated for 2 weeks inside Finland, only going out for essentials. Needless to say they have gone to the zoo for a day trip. These are the same people who have complained about people not wearing masks and the government not getting strict enough. I have no doubt that covid will be spreading here again soon if this is the attitude of people.

A sniper is a cowardly person who is hiding. Therefore, snipers are not taken prisoner, but destroyed.

. This is my honor and protection of the USSR.

fought in a real war .. as a mercenary Transnistria, Moldova, periodically from 90 to 92 years.
I had my own interest there.

My preferred method of Warfare . A Sniper is a force multiplier and the eyes and ears on the Battlefield . Nothing cowardly about being on the frontlines without backup or reserve . Quite the opposite .
Thats My main long range rifle . I have others for different applications .

Finnish lumberjacks came in their cars .. then they had breakfast at the Cafe, put on work clothes and rode snowmobiles into the taiga. They sawed wood with chainsaws.

The sniper is a coward. Snipers are not judged, but simply shot.
This is the honor of the Warrior.

on this I have a differnt opinion, I regard a sniper as valuable asset, an important tool in todays military, living in a small country,with a relatively small army,we have to have all available options,if the need comes...pray to God that, that day never comes.

Depends on how snipers are trained and used. If they indiscriminately kill people from a place of safety, then yes they are cowardly.
But well trained snipers that go after high value targets far behind enemy lines, in the open, with very little cover, and no immediate support are courageous in the extreme.

And just so you don't misunderstand

The US doesn't control territory in Afghanistan, the Afghan government does and we assist them. We have no desire to control territory, and we really don't even want to be there. We would leave if the Taliban would behave.
