Wow, that's amazing. That is a very intricate design.

I piece it with a sewing machine, but I will be doing the quilting by hand. This is a pattern I found online...all the blocks will be the same, colors and everything. The curves were actually fun but the lengths were hard to predict, some were right on and some were short. I had to adjust for that when I squared each piece. It was the first time I did curves (google was very helpful) as well as the first time I have used paper foundations. Keep your fingers crossed ... I should have the rest of the blocks done fairly soon and we will see how it really looks!

How big are your blocks? It would probably drive me crazy working with anything less than 2 in squares to try to piece. I'll keep my fingers crossed :)! Excited to see them all together.

I'm currently working on a quilt for the second granddaughter for when she gets her big girl bed. It is very similar to her sisters since they will be sharing a bedroom. But since it has been awhile now, could not find all of the same fabrics. For the most part I had leftovers thank goodness.

The block I posted is 30.5” square. The smallest pieces are 2”.

I have to admit I was trying to figure it out thinking of a 2 inch square and counting out but then got to thinking it is hard to really tell with a picture so I had to ask. I did have to lol at myself when I read your response.

If you look closely at the top of the picture you can see my shoes for scale.

Well I saw something at the top. . . Just didn't realize they were shoes. Are you making it for a bed? That would fit a queen nicely I would think. Put a bigger sashing and you got a king size easy.

I got my quilt top finished today and since we were taking the dogs to the vet and Joann s is right down the road I went and got some broadcloth they have on sale this week for $1.99 a yard. Tomorrow we go see grandbabies so hoping to get the backing on Sunday so I can finally start quilting!

It beautiful except for that allergen on top of it! Lol, if I wasn’t allergic to cats I’d probably like them! Really good design on the quilt.

No sooner then I spread it out for the photo, there she was! Sorry you are allergic, she makes me smile....mostly!

I understand completely. I have dogs that are part of the family. And I don’t sneeze all the time from them. I think if I had known how loving the pets were the kids might have been in trouble!

I also have no understanding of the curve or the high peak triangles so you are above me om that. :)

My sister got me into cross stitch lately. . . she asked me to do one for one of her nephews for an up coming wedding so I did that but then I started another one for her since she is redoing her living room. Her and her husband have agreed on a grey but he wants orange. . . she says she can do a throw pillow here and there but that is it. So I started a cross stitch of a light grey canvas with charcoal floss for Christmas this year.

This is a quilt I did for a charity auction...Forgotten Felines of Huntsville...that will be held in May.
