off topic, at times i will go to search engine and spell it best I can then it spells it for me, but that is time consuming. Plus if yall knew how much editign I do whiel typing errors you wouldn't beleive it.

I travel for work so I am probably screwed because I was probably in an airport in the last 96 hours or going to be in one. If this happens on an off week when I am home then SHEWWWWW...dodged a bullet!

It's 8:00am on a Thursday. Reports are coming in from all over the US about people suddenly falling ill. Violently ill. It seems to be starting in major metro areas, but it's spreading. No one seems to know what is going on. As the day progresses reports of deaths begin. Not just a few deaths, but a large number of deaths. This seems to be hitting some parts of the US harder than others. Entire communities are going into quarantine. The CDC and other groups are out in force trying to figure out what is going on. As the body count rises it is reported that this could be some kind of weaponized virus. We just don't know yet. Civil unrest is looming.

What is your first move?
Do you have any pandemic preps?
Do you have any medical training or experience?
Do you live somewhere that is a likely target for an extremist group?
What next?

First move - get children home if possible and quickly!
2 - Pandemic preps...not much!
3 - Training...lot of CBR from my uniformed days
4 - Not likely
5 - hunker down and pray we don't get it! Isolationism will be in full affect, anyone arriving in my driveway may be dropped on the spot!

As far as spraying a warning on the house it depends whose coming around. If its gov I'd go with the more official symbols. If its neighbors or civilians running amok I'd go with something like the biohazard symbol which is more immediately recognizable to most folks. Everyone knows the biohazard symbol. They have been conditioned to respect and fear it their whole lives. Quarantine will be key.

Take a white sheet, spray paint "Very Sick, No Food, Need Help" across it, hang it in front of your house. You can almost rest assured no one will come. Human nature. Especially if it is a pandemic.
