Something a little different

I was thinking that this "might" make an interesting post/topic. Post a scene from a movie that somehow affected you deeply. Love, hate, horror or even funny. A scene that you get some sort of real reaction to each time you watch it. Also if you need to explain it a little. Here's mine:

I'll start by saying that I'm a guy & tend to like action scenes, you know fights & so on. But that's not the part of this clip that gets me. No the part that gets me starts at the salute when he enters the plane. I have a STRONG EMOTIONAL REACTION to that scene. I'll add that there's another scene in the movie that also gets me. If I get any interest in this I'll post it too.

Neb I've heard that song probably a dozen times but never really listened to the words. Thanks for posting it. "To be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause", that line struck me too, being retired military.

Good thread. There have been a few lot that have affected me deeply but my memory isn’t participating. Hope I’ll remember something to post.

The movie, “Lion,” was the most recent that comes to mind. A little boy in India and his first five years. Broke my heart to see what children go through, based on a true story. Learning the back story of the actor who played the part of the little boy after watching the movie was eye opening.
There are two other movies made in India (Bollywood) that hit a nerve as well. One was Madaari, about the love, grief and desperation of a father.
The other was just a really interesting movie, sad, funny, and ending with a thought provoking twist, The Life of Pi.
I'll post links to trailers of the movies in the next post. I don't know how to grab parts of the movie that had such a deep affect on me.

If the name Jean-Luc Picard is not a "household" name to you, you might not understand the emotion in this scene.

I loved that movie, it kind of makes me nostalgic until I remember my childhood sucked.
