I don't like wearing jeans..I keep a pair I got for 25 cents for when I have to pick up haybales..that's it.

I had a pair of jean overalls long ago..they were cute and pretty comphy..but if ya gotta go pee , they are a hassle.

Jean material is heavy, doesn't dry fast if it gets wet , hot in summer n not warm in winter. They are sturdy n last , lots of folks wear them at work but I wear a hiking pant.
I wore a ripstop tactical pant I kept from my uniform I had worn working in the jail untill they wore out. Then I got a lightweight hiking pant for work. Comphy , quick drying, roomy for layers in winter but light weight n cool in summer. They are tuff enough for scrambling about on my machine or lumber and I know if I get caught up in chains hopefully NEVER..I can easily rip them off if I need to unlike jeans..

I never really liked them n only worn them when I was younger because I looked good in my wranglers or 501's..

Now that I'm older I'm more about comfort and staying cool in summer, tee n shorts usually..winter is warm layers n jogging pants or those gym Capri pants.

I've never been much into fashion ..

Thanksgiving dinner: Talk politics, or skip the topic?

I like celery in stuffing/dressing. Turns out the lady doesn't. I should have dated her longer until all of these things were revealed.

Neither one of you will live long enough to learn all of those things.

With celery. I like celery any way shape or form.

My coffee mug says This Could be Beer. My daughter gave it to me. I got some great looks from management when I used it at work.

We talk about past Thanksgivings in sharing our memories with a newish son-in-law, discuss food preparations, other family members' recent happenings, dogs, cats, other ideas for future holidays.

Then I am coming to your house. I am always the Lone Ranger at family dinners; all of my wife's family. They like to play "Dueling Ailments". Who is in the worst health? Who just got operated on? Who is in the hospital? Mine is worse than yours. It takes all of my will power not to get knee-walkin', commode huggin' drunk.

I will take the 6000 square foot house. I would make it a fortress with a deep larder.
