Gee thanks @Supervisor42 The storm is literally at the Alabama/Mississippi state line. Looks like I'm going to lose internet and tv for an hour or so tonight... I'll check in later if I can.

Ha ha SuperV, I didn't get blamed by Peanut😁! Guess the label blew off!!

A lot cooler here today, big north wind later! Ya'll in the deep south keep us posted today, Snappy1 and Supervisor42!
We need to hear from @snappy1 .
Maybe, (hopefully) it missed her. There was some serious stuff coming out of north LA today. :(

So were having the warmest day of the year today, 73 and clear. The thing I'm used to seeing at this time of the year is if it rains during the day and then clears up around sunset, we will get frost, it's called evaporative cooling and it's usually what nips the fruit blossoms and keeps us from having any fruit on our trees, bummer.

I lost satellite for a couple hours... Tornado on the ground near Tuskaloosa, small one. No deaths reported but some damage.

Status, a conga line of storms coming out of Mississippi. I lost track of the number of tornadoes, no satellite, no news for a while. I think there have been 3, maybe 4.

It's spring time in Bama so...

I checked the rain gauge about a 1/2hr ago, creeping up on 4 inches. The weather report in Tuskaloosa at 4.65 inches of rain. It's raining now. It's not going to stop for a couple more hours. I've been running the sump pump every 4 minutes.

Tornadoes are done for the evening but flash flood warning have been issued for 8-10 counties.

Just read your post in "what's everybody doing today", you get a "I had to get on a ladder" pass!!
I don't mind ladders normally, but this one was totally vertical about 20', at the top there is a platform with a gate to go thru and no good handholds. Then another shorter ladder, maybe 10' that goes to a hatch. Ladder ends 16" below the hatch again with no handholds other than the hatch sides and a goo foot down to the roof. I managed to get up there, but getting back to the ladder sucked.I'm surprised there was nothing to hold on to to get back to the ladder. Just unsafe IMO.
Add to that my flexibility is pretty well non existant now days. Yeah I had fun

Thanks! It mostly passed us by. 2.5" of rain, but no tornadoes.
Thanks for letting us know Snap.

Gorgeous here today - had the door open at work for the first time since last fall, but know y'all have some real weather going on so checking in to make sure you are all okay.

That's great. The 'fresh off the Gulf moisture' totally rocks, don't it!
Did we water all your plants?:p
@Peanut is tryin' to hog it all up with his sump pump.

Hopefully everyone understands the humor I try to inject into all of this.
If you can't find some way to make fun of it, it will drive you crazy.:(
Blame it on me being punch-drunk from dancing with the extreme weather of hurricanes.
(didja get the inside joke, 'hurricane-punch drunk'?)
Y'all stay safe out there.

You said you had a fridge full of beer for today, so we'll let you slide!🍺😉

2330 and it finally stopped raining. This front got here and stalled out for a couple hours. Dumped big rain on some locations, streets flooded in metropolitan areas, Birmingham, others. At least its over for tonight.

@Supervisor42 I don't mind weather jokes a bit. I figure I've earned the right to poke fun of tornadoes. Got wiped out by one years ago, got the house, barns, everything. So I keep an eye open in nado season but got to break the tension sometimes. I can't wait for August when hurricane season starts!

I hate my weather man.... Looking at the 10 day forecast, I see 60s and 70s all lined up and then there a 3 days with lows in the 20s, which really limits what I can do outside.... And what is it with sunny week days and rain on the weekends....

The only good news is they are wrong 50% of the time....

My personal weather forecast is 30% chance of rain and it will either be cold and wet or hot and humid.....

While I'm complaining I just got my power bill.... the Electric part of it says the average temperature for last Month a year ago was 43F and this year it it 44F, but the gas bill says last year's temperature was 42F and this year it was 46F.... Come on folks decide which it is.... It's the same address and written on the same page, from the same company.... Choose 1

I expect well-placed shots in return fire!:p
Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.:)
Did you ever get a total on your rainfall amount when it was over?

It's chilly (68°) and windy today, but I'm looking at highs in the mid to upper 70's for the next 10 days.:woo hoo:
