Same here, not sure if its mich or chipmunks eating my tomatoes, they only eat lower hanging fruit.

Could be either but I'm leaning towards chipmunks if it's the lower tomatoes. I had this problem a couple years ago when we were in a drought and it was mice, they would eat the higher ones and leave poop on them. So rude. I'm setting traps this evening, hopefully I can slow them down.

I am proud to announce that we had our first 'rain-free' day, today in almost 2 weeks!
We are celebrating our second rain-free day today!!!:dancing:
Still 84° outside at 10pm! C'mon, dry us up some baby!

I'm starting to think I'm in some vortex here. 20% chance of rain every day for the last 12 days. It's rained 9 of those days. The thunderstorms are usually 30miles across.

The weird part, I've gotten storms from different directions the same day. Last big one came from the NW around 2pm. Got another thunderstorm from the east hours later, around 7pm.

Chance or rain goes up to 50% until sometime next week. They weren't specific.

Farmers growing hay are pulling their hair out. I usually got my 2nd cutting mid to late aug. I noticed a cousins field couple days ago. He's just certain cutting areas in the field. Partly because getting a couple days for to hay dry is a crap shoot.

Had some unexpected rain here, which was fine with me... in the high desert, you take whatever you can get, lol. Rain in the forecast later this week too! More rain means less watering by hose, and the rain tends to cool temps down as well, which is good. I'll still be glad when fall rolls around and the temps drop considerably... spring and fall are the best seasons in the high desert. Winter isn't bad, but cold fronts can bring low temps and snow... I don't mind either, as cold weather has never really bothered me. I can always add more layers of clothing! Easy fix! ;)

I don't like sharing the nice hot weather!! It's supposed to cool down into the 90's, maybe even the upper 80's here the end of the week into next week! I'm not ready for that yet!!!😮 There are a few rain chances in there too!!

NO RAIN again!! Was coming my way from the NW and fizzled out. Redeveloped to my east and SE! Patchouli may have gotten more!! 85°, but super humid!!🙄
Well, the party ended today for us. :(
I have been enjoying 4 days of nearly no joint pain.
They lit up about noon today (they are never wrong), and the rain started about 3pm.
We are at .2" so far now. It coulda been a lot worse if I hadn't sent so much to @Peanut :).

We had a surprise 4am thunderstorm that dumped .71" on us for today.
This is unusual even for us.
Yeah, notice I bolded 'thunder'.
Very loud thunder-booms so nobody here got any sleep after 4am.:(
I think it has figured out that this is the only way it can drown us with rain and still fry us with mid-90's, in the same day.gaah

Calling for heavy rain and flooding Sunday on through Wednesday! Temps in the 80's! 🙄
We are getting a 'redo' as I speak. Evidently the .71 at 4am was not enough .
At least no boom-booms this time, but heavy.
When we are done playin' with it, we will send you the leftovers.🤪
Edit: Looks like this:

I'll post a total for the day here when we are done: Total=1.61", so an extra .9" in round-2.
Edit#2: Well, we're just being greedy now.:(
Round #3 started at 5pm and we will end the day with 1.73" for the day.

What's that green stuff on the ground? Seems like I had some of that once!;🤔 Been so long it's hard to recall!!😁

I got over an inch of rain Wednesday, seems like it rained some Tuesday too. Yesterday was a soggy mess outside. No rain yesterday or today... temps around 90 with high humidity.

Lets see, 60% chance of rain til next wed. Except sunday when it's 70%. Supposed to be cooler though. Humidity dropped out of the 80's, only 79%.
