It's only about 20 degs and sunny here this morning. It'll be several more days before the water freezes up down in the valley so I'm taking advantage of open water trapping.
I'm building a lean-to roof on the chicken coop for the wife. She wants to have a snow free area for her girls to hang out in.
Great idea. We’ve got all the wood to build a coop, haven’t gotten to that yet but a lean to is a fantastic idea. I’ll have to suggest that to the hubs. 😊 one more thing for him to do! Haha

The lean-to on the coop will be open on 3 sides. She'll hang the feeders under it and put their water tubs under it too. A lean-to is cheap and easy to add to an existing building. I just finished adding a shed to the end of the wood shed for keeping our garbage in. It's keeps it safe from the bears, dogs and other critters.

Yeah we definitely need to figure out something better for the garbage. Going to pick it up right now and throw it into one of the perc test holes and then burn it all.

I had to take Bear out at 2am🙄, was a beautiful sky. But by 5am it was cloudy!! Did I mention I'm tired!!
Sheesh, @Pearl if my dog had to go out for 3 hours I’d be tired too. 😁 Fog should be cleared out shortly. Our first “winter” here in TX I drove down to a nearby small city. Coming home in the dark I’ve never experienced that thick of fog, and I’m from a coastal state! Less than a 1/4 mile visibility, the whole way home, nearly 30 miles.

Woke up to a bunch of white stuff 😣
Too early for this, we still have so much to do. Having coffee then the hubs will plow the road so we can get the washer and dryer delivered and our son can get out to work. Thankfully I have nothing scheduled today.

We were only out for a few minutes to pee! He went back to bed and the cats thought it was a great time for hallway racing and office chair wrecking! Two cats, 100mph, jumping on the office chair with wheels!! It was loud when they hit the filing cabinet!! I started to doze about 4:30, but then Bear was wide awake. So hopefully I get a nap later!!

Clouds moved in so I'm postponing my ride until Wednesday, when it's supposed to be clear, sunny, and 76* F. :(

Patchouli, I've seen really thick fog in the Texas Panhandle, over by McLean... so thick that I had to pull over and take a nap while waiting for it to clear (or waiting for daylight). Driving in fog can be very dangerous!

I can vouch for that! ☹️ Don't be me:

Surprised you lived to tell about it!!😮
If you look close, the back of the driver's seat went under the trailer and I was neatly decapitated...
But God exists, and 'somebody' shoved me sideways down in the seat😍.
That was miracle #3 for me:thumbs:. If you watch the video, the cops are real busy with a measuring-tape, measuring the skid marks.
I held the brakes locked until 1/4-second before impact (this does not leave enough time to lay down in the seat:oops:).
On topic: fog is very dangerous☹️.

Glad I didn't ride today, the clouds have really socked us in and it even looks like we *might* get some rain... hard to say. It's okay if it does rain, my roof doesn't leak, and here in the high desert we take whatever we can get in the way of rain.

We could be conversing with the ghost of SuperV!!👻☠️😯
You already have been .
Now back to the weather....
Say hello to Nicole!!!:woo hoo:
I can hardly wait to watch the TWC coverage because Charleston Sathcarolina will be in peril!

As long as it doesn't do what Andrew did, it's all good .
That CAT-5 tore us a new one:mad:.

Keep these posts coming about how cruel and inhospitable the weather is if you are thinking of moving north in the lower 48 or even to alaska where the full strength antifreeze freezes in the jugs.
anchorage sounds balmy, our temps are not forecasted to get above freezing for the next week or so, and it's windy..

Anchorage is usually pretty mild. We lived in Palmer for a number of years. And worked on the North Slope. My wife commuted to the NS until about a year or so ago. The covid BS rules made it difficult for her to fly up there any more, so she quit her job of almost 16 years.
