Got about 2.4" of rain over night and today. Storms died down about 3am. At least I think they did, I went to bed. The rain today was heavy at times. Should sleep good tonight.
A better shot of "the stuff" that Pearl and Patch are sending to us:

I just watched the weather.. The front doesn't get here until morning. Could get nasty.

Tonight I'll get intermittent showers, in fact it's raining now. Warm, moist air is streaming up from the gulf. It's over 70 degrees on my porch now. Hope it stays cloudy into the morning. Sunshine would only crank more power into the storms.

It is raining now, and supposed to continue through tomorrow. We must be getting the northeastern most part of the front Supe42 showed in his post. No wind of any sighificance like what they are getting in Texas.

Our town tornado siren went off only once but I wasn't home, the at-homers said twice. We were only about a mile apart. Never have felt the building shift like that, never, from the wind. The building is very well built. Read something about someone saw their 200 lb. grill move across their patio like it was nothing.
Three school districts are closed tomorrow in the general metro area. One is near me, due to campus damages, and internet and electric outage, safety concern as well as some damage to the other two.

We are under a tornado watch until 5pm. Winds currently gusting 20.l to 30 mph. Suppose to have heavy rain from 2 till 4. Front is moving fast
Well watch out! The main town I work in looks like a war zone this morning!! Power out in the core of town! I think Patch was going to post a pic of the tornado over that town!

It looks like @Swing has been having fun with warnings this morning .
It totally skipped us because @dademoss bid so high to get him some of it;).
It's ok, I am not heartbroken missing out:).

Hi guys. Yeah. last afternoon and this morning severe thunderstorms. At least it didn't go to tornado warnings as it was Wed evening for awhile.
Right now it's beautifully sunny. And I think we may be okay for most of the rest of the day. And it's 65* and I have windows open.

Looks like it may be time for an upgrade:confused:.
I get to check the accuracy of my barometer every time the center of a 'spinny-thing' passes over us and they are reporting the pressure in millibars every 5 minutes.
It is dead on!

Beautiful weather here today, I may get outside and water the trees & plants after I knock out some household chores. For some reason, I'm moving slowly today, even though I didn't party heavily or anything last night. Maybe it's a seasonal thing, the end of winter or whatever... but I'm lagging hard, lol.

Storm blew through here about 11am. There was a funnel high in the clouds. I could hear it and saw both in flow and out flow winds.

There were straight line winds for about an hour. A couple big pines are down over on the hill. There is a dead tree down on the fence of the lower pasture, can see it from the house.

Sun was out all afternoon, temp in the 60's.

my $2 yard sale barometer's feelings are hurt :p, that was it's best impression of reading 28.03. (it's scale ends at 28.9) I have an old Airguide barometer that is dead nuts :) and a digital, but the digital is just no fun watch :D

Gorgeous weather here, I'll be watering the trees and doing some yard work in a bit, just to enjoy that fresh air and sunshine! I thought about going for a bike ride, but it's Saturday, so there'll be folks heading up to Cloudcroft in this beautiful spring-like weather... better to wait till next week, when I have the pavement and trails to myself, lol. Those Winnebago Warriors in their RVs tend to bog down traffic while pulling the grade to Cloudcroft, so I'll skip the ride today. Meh, it's a nice day to be outside and do a little yard work, and exercise is good for you, lol...
