Beautiful day here, but I gotta check the forecast to see how windy it'll be later... don't wanna go riding in the mountains and run into 60 m.p.h. gusts howling down some of those canyons.
In Colorado, February is the snowiest month of the year. But maybe not where you live.It snowed last night.
The last day of Feb. and we get snow. Something is not right.
Be careful what you wish for. The snow has turned to rain. It is turning the snow to ice. I won't be going anywhere for a few days. The dog asked for a set of ice skates.Woke up to heavy snow. I wish it would warm up, you don't have to shovel rain. At the head the bay the snow is building up on top of the saltwater so we have a thick layer of slush.
Our county owns a snowplow ()!! They tried to plow ice with it a few years back !We've received nearly a foot of snow since last night making the current accumulated snow depth of about 4 feet. We can barely see our picnic table. Our county has GPS in its snowplows and has a website where you can track their progress. You can see in the image below that our small rural county has 16 snowplows on the roads. The black lines are roads already plow more than 30 minutes ago. The green arrows show the direction of the snowplows within the last 30 minutes.
