Idalia seems to be having trouble threading the needle :(.
Useful info: So,how many 'forecast' tracks showed it turning completely around and reversing direction?
That would be zero, zip, nada:mad:. They are only 'guesses', nothing more.
Idalia update:
I think she may actually make it thru the needle this time :).
Check out the screwy actual path below🤣.
Seen that on any forecast 'cones'?
No. And does anybody besides me notice that it is in basically in the same place it was a week and a half ago?

I think their forecast 'cone' should be a wide "V" going from Mobile to Naples.

This is what I was talking about...
If you look at multiple 'forecast' sources, you see this:

Hurricane warnings are up along most of Florida's west coast.
Yes, and they are 'likely' going to be right.
They have sent 14-million people there into panic-mode.
Just for fun, zoom in on my 'spaghetti-map' and see how many lines go over Panama City, verses the FL west coast.
Any warning for those people in PC?
Nope.:(
...Oh, and there is a good chance that @Magus and RPD are gonna get dumped on .

We haven't had any rain for over a month. We sure need it!
Ditto. Us neither :(.
We actually had a small mist fall from the sky this morning, and it was all I could do to not go out and dance in it.:dancing:
That's why we were bidding so hard for Idalia.
On topic: We have been struggling with a perilously-low 88° today and I have been fighting off the urge to put on my flannel shirt.:(

Yea that's too long. But, a hurricane isn't usually the best way to quench your thirst...
Not usually, but sometimes it is:thumbs:.
If you look back at the posts in this thread a year ago, most are wailing about being drenched in nonstop rain.
Not this year! Most have been screaming about baking in constant 100+ temps and no rain for over a month:(.
When you have been drenched for months with rain before a spinny-thing shows up, you got nowhere to put it, and it doesn't take much to flood your house.
Not this year!
If we got 6" of rain in one day, it would completely vanish in 24 hours:).

Temps have been cooler here, so I'm back to running the A/C only when I need it... gotta tame that monster A/C bill, lol.

Almost time for me to go outside and water the trees & plants, we have a 50% chance of rain in the forecast but I'm still seeing blue skies...

If we get the rain sometime tonight, great... if we don't, at least I'll have watered, aye? ;)

That forecast high of 84* F tomorrow rose to 87* F, but temps like those feel positively Arctic after the heller heat of summer, lol. I'm hoping we are done with the triple-digit temps for this year! 🥵
That was one long hot summer, boy... a mean mofo, but now we're sliding into fall temps! :woo hoo:

Uh-oh, better finish my beer before I throw on my "watering clothes!" Can't go out there in boxer shorts! Well, actually, I CAN if I want, and NOBODY can stop me, lol, but I'll extend a little old school courtesy to my poor elderly neighbors... 🤣

I'm relieved that so far it looks like it will miss my family in FL. there it is 83°, tropical storm warning, partly cloudy, winds at 6 mph, humidity 87%.
Here it is 78°, clear and moony. Unfortunately, opening the windows wouldn't be a good idea. No explanation, it just wouldn't.
Stay safe yall hurricaners.

Idalia update:
Has anybody noticed that they have adjusted their 'cones' westward?
I think they have been reading my posts. 😁
Since she is finally real, I can get a reading on her 'fatness', which is important:

...Still no pretty 'eye';).
Oh, and she has speeded up to moving at 14mph  , which is a good thing for people.
