Yep. Shipment arrival scheduled for Thursday.
I think it came early. :(
We had a beautiful sunny day on the way to my favorite 93° and a severe thunder storm hit, with a free side-order of Hail!
The temp has dropped to a perilous 78° 75°.

We have had so much rain, we are having a mosquito invasion. Same thing happened 4 years ago and I had to buy mosquito suits for my son and me. I had to get mine out this afternoon.

I was planning to take the grand baby (5 months old) outside tomorrow, but her skin is very soft and delicious.

A lot of rain again last night! Heading out to check the gauges and see if I can get out of my road!
Heavy downpour this morning...
Obviously a late arrival of Pearl's 'Thursday shipment'.
1.47" in less than an hour.

The birds are out on all the lawns grabbing the worms coming up to keep from drowning.
Edit: End at 1.96".

Waiting on the Rain...?!?

Tomorrow is the start of something big...!! Are You prepared this year like You were Last Year...?!

Massive thunderstorms last night and this morning. A tornado apparently hit out west (I may have mistakenly said east in another post-- but it was west) and took out a bunch of trailers. Was able to fill a 5 gallon bucket with the runoff from a gutter on the porch and a 1 gallon jug of water. Power was out just before 9:30pm and came on just before 7pm today. That sucked.

But the water filled troughs and now I have a full bucket of water for flushing toilets.
A bit of the storm last night. I had a flashlight on for some of it.

There was a big storm in the Front Range of Colorado last night a little after 10 p.m.. I was housesitting for two dogs. They used to sleep on beds but for recent years have been crated at night. The smaller one was so terrified that she was shaking. I informed the owner and then let them sleep on the bed I slept in. When it started raining, it sounded horrible, but there was very little damage where I was and at home. Others were not so lucky. There are cars that no longer have windshields and houses that will need new roofs. Hail was said to be the size of baseballs, but from my area, more like golf balls. The good thing was that the hail was brief.

I have peaches on my two peach trees for the first time in more than a decade and could only imagine another year of no peaches. But my peaches were spared! There is still hope for peaches this year!

This is a joke that someone posted, saying Colorado last night.
