Bad stuff happened about a mile south of us.
I watched the sky flashing constantly at 2am, like there was a herd of cop cars up there with their blue lights on.
They have power poles and trees down on the roads.
They are still trying to decide if it was a tornado because they got hail too. :(
All hail in-ground power!

By 4:45 a.m., the Youngsville area had sustained significant damage. Crews reported multiple single—and double-circuit poles broken out of the Youngsville substation. The area around Detente and Deacon Roads alone saw seven broken double-circuit poles, with additional fallen trees complicating the situation. As daylight broke, more damage became visible, prompting crews to prepare and load equipment for repairs. Treetrimming crews were dispatched to begin clearing debris. ....
By 9:00 am, SLEMCO updated the community on the progress and challenges ahead. Currently, 4,800 customers remain without power. Efforts are concentrated on the three-phase line near Detente Road on Highway 339, where multiple structures are down. This area has witnessed significant property damage, with trees down across side roads, homes damaged by fallen trees, and collapsed barns and roofs.

Peaceful here, one little squall went by a few minutes ago and the Sky is laden with clouds and clear patches...!!! Gonna 🐝 a Grrrr8 Lazy Day...!!

In the middle of yet ANOTHER Severe Thunderstorm Warning!!

Torrential rain, thunder, lightning. Multiple TV weather alerts!

I LOVE the thunder here in Texas! It is sharp, crackles, then a massive BOOM! Like bombs going off overhead!! And it's non-stop, one after another.

Wow, always amazing how those poles just snap in a microburst. We had 120+ poles go down a couple years ago. They are forecasting 115 for Wed-Thur and high heat across the southwest. I'm servicing our generators today just in case there are regional brown outs.

It's good to have an early heat wave so the Co-op can weed out bad transformers and such before the real heat hits in mid July.

Low 70'sF this AM w/20% wetness, going up to Low 80'sF early evening w/60% wetness...!!!

Haven’t lived in NH too long so don’t know if this dryness is normal. Hoping for the rain that the weather app says should come in a couple days. Mowing the patchy lawn yesterday raised a real dust storm. Probably should focus on regrowing some good grass soon, but the dogs just want to stampede it.

87* now going up to 91*. Humidity was 85%, dropped to 75% now. Very sticky!!

At least no more rain (in the forecast).
I think y'all who are Dallas and eastward will get a complex of storms out of Oklahoma by morning! A flood watch was already issued, think just to your east!!

More thunderstorms here.

Supervisor, I wish I were super rich so I could pay powerlines to be put underground instead of up in the air where they get hit with trees and snagged by wind. Would make life so much easier (so long as they were all properly sealed up to keep water out).

Power flickered off very briefly during the storm. It seems to have let up for now but is still cloudy.

I'm not 'Super rich', but some of the people around me are 😀.
The power distribution system has been underground for over 10 years, longer than I have been here.
