Feeling frosty as December begins

page_0a63f7.jpg

Into the start of the workweek, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures early Monday morning will range from subzero values across portions of the Dakotas and western Minnesota to widespread teens through the central Plains, Ohio Valley, Northeast and New England states.

Even as far south as Oklahoma, the Tennessee Valley through the Carolinas, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures first thing on Monday will range from 20-30 degrees F.

As the week continues, winds will return to the Midwest and Northeast in full force, making actual temperatures feel even more frigid. Wind gusts ranging from 30-50 mph will be possible as a storm dives southward out of Canada across the Great Lakes, resulting in blowing snow and visibility reductions.

Enjoying Snowmans weather updates, as it's an indication of what to expect in a week or so here. Very cold night, hard frost, about -5 but even though it's just getting light its already melting. Actually put some heat on this morning, I don't normally bother. We are due rain later, and for it to get heavier by the weekend, which is a shame, there are a lot of markets on, and crafters are hoping for good turnouts.

I thought of something else about the " climate change"

A lot of the earth is either Arctic tundra and permafrost, or desert . If the earth is indeed warming up, that would be a great thing actually. Warmer oceans would mean more water evaporating, meaning more rainfall, I read somewhere it rained in the Sahara desert for the first time in a long time , it would also mean some of the arctic might melt and you can live and grow food there. So who knows if it was even a bad thing at all.
I was wondering that too. A show on here last week showed how the north will actually freeze again because of climate change, down as far as Spain, so what is grown in mainland Europe now won't be possible. Created a great convo here about changing diets etc. Unfortunately it only focused on Europe, didn't mention African nations. Reminded me of the movie, Day after tomorrow, with Americans having to go south to Mexico.

Thick fog this morning, heavy rain now, cold and windy.

...I thought you was in the 'finger lakes' by New York? :dunno:
That's what happens when people Think w/o Reading all there is to read, and there is no Insults in Truth...!!!
