*Warning, micro-rant:
I watch the local weather forecasts every night. I figure since they 'live down here', they will be the most accurate...
But you can tell they spend all day sitting around saying: "but what if this also happens?"...
And then, "what if this also happens at the same time?"
..."and then this happens too!?"
Our 'snow day' is gonna be Tuesday...
First forecast: 3-5".
Next day: 5-7".

I remember our last 'historic snowfall' and I had to race out of the house to get a picture before it evaporated.

We had thick ice for over two weeks with that one!! The day before the front came through it was 60°! I found my little feral kitten, mom and littermates were killed. I brought him in the house. Went the next morning for kitten supplies, it was 30° and sleeting. Quite a historic, deadly ice storm took place here starting that night!

-17 last night and +4 right now with sun. -4 tonight but +30 tomorrow if everything holds. Slight warming trend. Was +50 last Thursday. You have to love the Rockies +50 one day -17 the next.

Today I've heard the snow numbers all over the place, I'm expecting 6". My dogs have never seen snow so that should be fun. I put my hurricane tarps on my coop since the temps are going to be so low. The first time I get to use my "hurricane" tarps is for snow and ultra cold temps go figure. They're saying a low of 15 Wednesday morning, just damn.

I must confess, I moved my beer stored in the trailer, into the garage tonight.
My 'unofficial' forecast for tuesday: lows down to the upper 20's, snow: 6" (if you can catch it in an icechest), 3" actual accumulation.

12.25" for Intracoastal City? It'd almost be worth the drive to say I stood in Intracoastal City and didn't get a single mosquito bite! But I'm sure they'll be there in force, just wearing parka's!

Weather report says I'll have a low of 20f tonight... warmer than last night.
