No…August will be 118 degrees.

Too hot for me. We usually get maybe 6 days a year above 92 degs.

I was in Florida one time in February for business. The temp dropped below 65 and I about froze to death. I had to buy a coat from the resort.
It easy to identify the snowbirds. While I was in town last week, I was wearing a long sleeve sweat shirt AND my heavy flight jacket. The snowbirds were walking around in flip flops, shorts and tank tops.
Not going to get above 0F for a high temp here in montana for most of the week....
They say we don't have colder weather than maine or northern wisconson etc.. It's just that it lasts longer. You mean other people don't have snow in june?
We do have good ice skating on our outdoor community skating rink tho.

Gul dang it's cold. Well winter is here in this neck of the Montana woods. Good for at least two weeks. As Montana Bill says better now than in June or July or August. Yup while not common we can get snow and cold in June, July, or August.
Winter is here now. It snowed here non-stop all day yesterday and overnight the temperatures dropped well below freezing. I went outside this morning to clear all the snow off my car and the snow on it was frozen solid to the whole car. All the doors, the hatchback, the hood frozen shut, none of them could be opened for me to get into it to start it up to warm it up a bit.
And to top it off, there is bitterly cold wind coming from the north.
So I said to heck with that nonsense, I don't need to go anywhere and I left the car alone. It will have to fend for itself.
The streets and sidewalks are all covered with deadly black ice and frozen packed snow on top of the black ice, and that in spite of salt trucks prepping the roads and sidewalks for two days ahead of time, and snow plows working overnight non-stop last night and more salt going down. The roads were chaos everywhere today, vehicles slip, sliding around and going off the roads.
All the school kids got a snow day off from school today. Lots of kids bundled up like roly-poly teddy-bears were tobogganing on the hills today and having a blast enjoying a day off from school.

Such a nice day today and going back to cold tomorrow. Will be a high of freezing tomorrow. Jackets back on.

Ours refuse to come out in the snow. It's pretty funny to see them run out and try it and then run back in
Cold front has arrived, that's right my northern friends!! A blustery 70° here today only!! Back in the 80's again tomorrow through Saturday, then back to February!!

that's not as bad as zero...
it's weird here today, almost feels wrong. Warm, windy and humid in February, but supposed to get hit with way more snow next week. I hope not

Nope. Not anything as bad as that. And no ice on the ground or piles of snow, so I really shouldn't be complaining. The pup is already parked in front of the woodburner, sleeping, on his back, legs in the air. Looks like a dork. Ha.

Winter Season (December, January, February, March)
Lower elevations on the east slope of Rocky Mountain National Park are usually free of deep snow. At higher elevations, arctic conditions prevail. Sudden blizzards, high winds, and deep snowpack are common. The west side of the park experiences more snow, less wind, and clear cold days during these months. Most high country overnight trips require gear suitable for -35 degrees or below. Skiing and snowshoeing conditions are best in January, February, and March.

It's 31 degs and we're getting a heavy wet snow. It's very unusual for it to be this warm in February. Supposed to snow until Friday with a possibility of 2 more feet of new snow. Good news is it's going to start cooling down tomorrow. I'm going get the big snow blade out for the tractor today. It's totally buried in the snow, but I think I know about where it is.
I tried snow blowing this morning but it's too wet and just plugs up the blower.
Every winter is a challenge. Good news is, it usually starts melting in April.
