Finally something to say besides HOT. At about 6am this morning a thunder/lightning storm went though. We got about 3 minutes of HARD rain before it tapered off into a very, very minor drizzle. It's still a little drizzle outside but the whole thing added up to not even a quarter inch of water in my rain barrels. I still have hope that it will drizzle for another hour but I doubt it will happen. Well something is better than nothing.

I was sick yesterday so I stayed inside until after dark. Had to make a run to the store and it was raining hard. Today it was in the 70s and raining. I don't mind rain when its cool outside. It's better than being hot as balls.

I was beginning to think that I would never say this but: BIG NEWS it's actually RAINING HERE. And not just a sprinkle, it came down hard enough & long enough to fill all 8 of my rain barrels. My neighbor came over & we sat on our porch for 3 hours & it rained the whole time. Soggy yard rain, water running in the streets rain. Who would have thunk it!!!! And if the radar is correct, the rain will keep coming down for another hour & a half. WOW!!!
