This was always a staple type breakfast in my house growing up. Bacon, eggs over easy, bacon gravy and toast with sliced tomatoes.

Omelettes for breakfast, I'll make pizza for dinner. Pepperoni, a ham and pineapple, and a third with ground beef, hot sausage and pepperoni on it. Three pizzas, each the size of a cookie sheet, will provide left overs for breakfast tomorrow. It's an expensive meal but its good! (and I get to cheat on my KETO diet)

OK, I can fix that for you:
three Red Barron "supreme" pizzas about 6 bucks each.
1 can of mushroom pieces drained, about a buck
one pack of cheapo pepperoni or hard salami diced
a small can of spaghetti sauce, about a buck.
Extra mozzarella cheese, about a buck.

Add a salad.

Sounds good to me. Unfortunately, can't do the mushrooms because of the wife.

I like to mix chili flakes and minced garlic with microwave-softened onions, and spread the mixture on the frozen Red Barron pizza before placing in the oven. I would do that to one of the Red Barron meat pizzas.

I think we do need to get a little more creative with homemade pizza. I think I was overly conservative on price. I think the pizza we wanted to order went up to $25. For a special occassion?...ok. But for a night when we were just being lazy?...nope.

You have to hurry Athena! The pepperoni is in the oven, The ham and pineapple is next and after that pepperoni-sausage and ground beef goes in.
If you get hear before noon Monday you will have leftovers waiting. If you want to stay a day or two we can feed you and you can help my wife with the shopping. :)

Take Washington #395 south to Kettle Falls and proceed on #25 south crossing HWY 2. After a few miles it becomes#28. At Odessa turn Left (South) on to #21 toward Lind and then keep going south to Kahlotus. More to follow!

I made a pot of sausage Gumbo this afternoon, yummy. I used the Zatarains gumbo base for the first time which was good. But it was too salty, or was after I salted my trinity and used chicken broth instead of plain water. At least now I know not to add any salt. I saved it by adding a pack of frozen okra and 2 cups of water, then cooked it down another 20min to cook the okra. The okra did it’s job absorbing some of the salt. Besides… gumbo is supposed to have okra in it!

I had diced up 2 cups of cajun trinity (onion, bellpepper, celery). Sweated it down with 2 cloves of garlic and just a little ginger root. I added ginger root to my chili last week, it was great! So, I added just a little today, I couldn’t taste ginger but it added a yummy background flavor.

Anyway, I had sausage gumbo over rice for dinner.

Kevin Belton written all over it!!😀

Tonight the wife was planning to make pork stroganoff, but by noon she was not feeling well. She had me take out 2 of the chicken pot pies we made back in January. It was 7 PM by the time I got dinner made, then I had to do the dishes... I hate dishes.. ;)

We made 12 chicken and 6 beef pot pies back in January and froze them, we have 4 beef pot pies left... they really come in handy for down days.
