Late afternoon I cut up and vacuum sealed a 20pkg of wings. Except for the half dozen I fried for dinner. Had a salad to go with and some ice cream for dessert.

Been a long time since I made pancakes so I opened a new box and made some last week. They didn't cook right, something was very wrong!!! Put them in the dog bowl, made another batch (by weight, grams), same result. They were like thick lumps that had a funky white interior. Didn't brown right either...

I buy the pancake mix that only needs water added. I poured out some more mix, looked okay, smelled okay. Then I noticed the expiration date on the box. Oct of '20. Oops! guess it got lost in my pantry rotation.

So yes, pancake mix does expire!
I use self rising flour instead of pancake mix or bisquick. It works great for biscuits too. That way you just have to add the fluid ingredients and sugar.

Pickled beef logs, cheddar cheese and crackers.

Maybe a cheese rice and bean burrito. dunno yet,
I clean the fridge out at the end of every month.
Just however it comes out of the box. :p

Tomorrow is beef ramen delight.
Beef ramen cooked in beef broth and beefy gravy with seared hamburger, mushrooms, peppers and sour cream on the side.

Tonight we had scalloped potatoes, we were going to have meatloaf with it but by the time the potatoes were done the wife is done too. The meatloaf is made and will just need to be warmed up so tomorrow we will be having meatloaf and potatoes....

Threw together some pasta, spaghetti sauce, browned some ground beef, grated mozzarella and Jack. Slammed it into the oven, sounds like a violent meal but grace was pronounced over the dish and feasting ensued.
That kind of meal is GREAT! Go for it loving in the oven!!
