$3.99 is about the lowest here in S.W. Oregon, I talked to a woman at the gas station with California plates and she said she was paying over $7 a gallon out in Big Sur, that area is off the beaten path and I can understand the higher price, however it's scary to know that for 10 gallons it would be over $70.

I've been gone for a week while up in Colorado. Cheapest gas was in Gallup, NM ($3.15) but I don't buy gas (or anything) there. Along the interstate in AZ gas was $3.29 while in our small town gas was $3.67 when I drove through there.

Finally used up 11 gallons in my car and filled it for $3.019 - just over half a tank.

Gas came down a little bit here. We are at $2.98-$2.99 down from $3.16-$3.19.
If you follow the stock market, they always put up the price of oil on the screen too.
The price of gas usually follows it a week or 2 later.
It's around $67 now, down from about $82/bbl.
Lower gas prices are waiting in the wings.
...Until they find another pipeline to shut down.

It's already coming down a bit in my area. It's down two cents at the station in town and in the next town over. But it's down 5 cents or more on the interstate...

Of course, you know Joe did that, right?😉

California...🤬

In Yuma on the Cali/AZ border, I paid $3.67 when I refilled the Toyota 4Runner I rented. Made me wish I had insisted on getting the Camry I originally rented, but they offered me a free upgrade and I can't resist free upgrades...

I hear you. Sometimes I wish i had a car but then it’s not practical for me so i drive as little as possible. Just to expensive. Most of the surrounding stations were close or into the $5 range. This was Costco. I try and take a load of cans and fill the truck at the same time when we need fuel. Can’t afford anything even remotely local.

It's all over the place around here. Some larger stations in Des Moines are between 2.90 and 2.99, but in my little town and the next town over it's 3.12. But if I go an hour west or an hour northeast it's 2.99 again...
