Our Saint Matthew's RC Nuns called them Cloak Rooms...because they did wear "cloaks" with their habit...not coats.

http://stmatthewmayfair.org/

The 'lay' teachers called them Coat rooms.

Either way it stuck... as it was beat into me !!

A yard stick at a time...

{ Welcome to my Nightmare } :hit head:

LMAO Buddy!!!

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that the yard sticks & rulers were also used on the hands inside those rooms!

Those experiences are long gone, forbidden these days & never to return, however those same experiences are also what made us better persons my friend!

I can relate to the above. I went to a German Lutheran grade (grammar) school (1940s and 50s). We had coat rooms. I spent a good portion of my schools days enjoying the solitude afforded by them.
:sarcasm:

I don't recall a yardstick, but I have a vivid recollection of wood shaft pointers applied to the buttocks and (and the scars) from having my hand bent over the edge of a desk and a steel lined ruler used to let me know that my conduct (insert crime here) did not meet the teacher's expectations.

:assspank:

On topic: Supper tonight = Bob Evans mashed potatoes (original style) with KFC brown gravy. That will hold me over until tomorrow.

Wow, I can't begin to say what I've been eating the last few days!

It was lot's & lot's of fresh seafood. Crabs, crab cakes, shrimp, lobster, calamari, clams, oysters, fish & everything that go's with it!

Can't forget some of the creamiest & smoothest cheesecake I ever tasted!:great:
