We all know the dudes are lining up for Mo of Mo! Deep down all men want a strong woman who tells them what to do.
NO, that would be incorrect, a truly strong man wants a truly strong woman to stand beside him (and of course never try to manipulate but truly strong woman would never do that so it's a mute point.)

Got up, worked out with the daughter, then we went swimming. Okay she went swimming and I sat in the hot tub. Then she went to class and work while I sat in my car, then we came back to the apartment and hung out. Now we are cooking dinner and playing on the internet waiting for her mother to show up.

Yeah Every Dr and PT I've saw so far are happy with progress. Today encouraged me to be patient and give the drug therapy time to do it's thing. Thats hard for me to just not get much done, when I've got plenty to do.
Yeah for real- do they know how much weedeating you have to do across this country?
😂

Rough day yesterday on many levels....struggled to get a shower even...stumbled into bed......at least i didnt wake up naked as a jaybird wondering what the heck happened to me !
Where’d Subie leave you this time? Hope you get some rest.

I'm with two buddies at a resort on Lake Okoboji in NW Iowa. We've known one another since we were 7 years old. We had lunch at the Spencer County Club and it was great! Then Bob wanted to go to a casino about 40 miles away. The other two of us are not interested in gambling but we went. On my first play on a slot machine I won $55.00. I cashed out and walked away from the machines. Then we've been enjoying our time together.

The day after I did the fall on the ground

Got major kitchen cleaning done this morning, even shined appliances with steel wool. Trip to town this afternoon. I needed some complex but straight forward changes to a laptop I bought a few months ago, still under warranty. The lady at the geek squad stood there with a ‘deer in the headlights’ look on her face. She didn’t even understand the issues much less the 3 possible solutions I suggested. She couldn’t even tell me something as simple as to how to change a bios setting. She mumbled something about ‘we can’t do that here’.

When I asked where she’d suggest I get this done her reply was… ‘maybe there’s a computer store by the university’. So I asked ‘won’t that void the warranty on my new laptop’? Finally, a question she knew the answer too!!! I guess pretendageek squad is their new name!

The funny part, a mom with a special needs child was waiting next to me at the counter. She understood what I was trying to get done, it wasn’t rocket science!!! So I ignored the geek and had a conversation with her about it. She didn’t have a solution but at least someone in that store understood the problem! 🤣

Then I did some shopping at the big herbal medicine store just down the street. Been a few months since I was there last, checked out the new times. Bought a few goodies and a tincture for an experiment I want to run. Oh, I did have a nice lunch so the day wasn’t a total waste. :)

Time for husband's last infusion and getting him ready for bed. Dog finally quieted down and went to sleep. The long baby turkey is fully awake, though. Tired. Been a long day. Loving the half of the kitchen floor that's been put in. I think he'll be done with it tomorrow. Then on to the next on his list. Which is probably the kitchen ceiling edging. We took down three crazy ceilings a number of years ago in that kitchen. Now it needs a ceiling border.

You have to remember the movie "The Sneetches" to appreciate this one...
I had never realized that my DL was not a "Real ID.".
My wife had a star upon hars, but when I looked at mine, there was no star upon thars. :(
So I gathered up all my paperwork: old license, birth certificate, SS card, 2 bills showing my real name and address, and passport.
DW carried me to the license place, and I even had to pose for a new picture.:D
They asked me if I could read line 5 on the eye-chart...
I have been waiting for this.:waiting:
I said: "how 'bout I read line 7" (which letters are half as big).
And I did!:eyeballs:
Then I bragged about getting my cataracts taken out, and cyborg lenses installed.
So I have now joined the star-bellied sneetches, because my license now has a star upon thar!

Woke up to some rain, and that's surprising. It's been dryer than dry here. I imagine Dave the guy will be here in an hr or so for the kitchen flooring. Husband's got another doc appt in the bigger town late afternoon, and I'll have to bring his infusion stuff in the truck because of the time. Was thinking about going to Glen's Bulk Food in the neighboring town after. Haven't been in awhile. Plan on making some more quinoa bread today, the last loaf turned out pretty tasty.

it was raining this morning but nothing showing on the radar, that happens sometimes. We put all the animals out anyway. Started early, husband has to go to the dentist and haircut. I did clean the house yesterday so today I am going to rest a little getting ready for daughter to visit. MIght take Otto for a little hike up the mountain.
The hawks are out there again screeching and circeling. We put a giant owl on the chicken coop, hoping this will keep them away
I caught one of them in the trees swooping down to get a chicken a few days ago ( before the owl got here in the mail) and shooed it away. Heard the chickens squaking being upset so I went over there and saw the hawk. It's a beautiful bird but I still don't want it to eat our chickens

Gotta call the company I had out for electric work a couple days ago. The work got done fine eventually but took them three tries to get it right. I wasn’t going to pay them hourly for two obvious mistakes they could have fixed by accurately assessing the problem first (come over to my house rather than start at Home Depot, bring a tall enough ladder and actually check the fixture I needed fixed, rather than making assumptions about what it was and partially breaking it … ).

They were supposed to get back to me and haven’t. Kind of disappointed. Their service for other work I’ve had done has been excellent. So now I have to call them and go “hey, you were supposed to contact me about this.” I hate making phone calls.

Other than that it’s housecleaning today, and dinner should be Bengal BBQ chicken skewers, then D&D tonight. Hope you all have a good day ahead!
