We had snow off and on all day today. They're calling for snow for the next 6 days. It's nice to finally get some moisture. Tomorrow I'll open the septic up again and see if it's still draining. If it is I'll put the lid on and cover it up with gravel.
We need to take a day next week and get the studded tires put on the Jeeps.

Hope you don’t get another shower 🤞

Filled a Dollar Tree cart and an Aldi cart. Bought 5 lbs of fresh cranberries for a buck a lb at Aldi, and I think I'll can then in the next few days....boil them, adding sugar and water and oranges. I love cranberries that way. They also had two turkeys at 77 cents a lb. So I bought them both, and will roast them and freeze for lunchmeat. I did two last week.

Nice scores!

Got mom home from rehab yesterday. (Hip dislocation) caused by going crazy with a UTI. Her brain isn't recovering from the UTI and she is so confused.

He doctor said she may also have had some type of stroke that is only showing in her brain.

It was so hard yesterday figuring out how to position the chair etc. Her bedroom is packed with furniture and not very maneuverable.
Today will be spent getting her back on a schedule here at home. My brother is here helping.

That sounds rough! Hang in there ST farmer.
Needing to call my Florida sis today...her 70th bday already. I sent her a case of Beenie Weenies. All good preppers should have Beenie Weenies.
Taking husband in to Wichita for his eye specialist. This will be an all day thing, it's quite a drive. Need to get going on animal chores first.

didn't do much yesterday except eat too much, and we played games after animal care and eating
Called daughter and she was taking granddaughter trick or treating down her road for a little bit ( she is not 2 yet)
Oh and husband figured out the problem with the solar, it is just a fuse in cables. So all the panels we have work. Now we need to order a more amp charge controller and inverter, actually 2
I have no major plans for today yet. Starting to miss the market already. The weather is still so nice, we should have just kept it going a while longer.

Not much to report yet. Got up, worked out, made coffee, sitting here. I did check Charlene to make sure no ghosts or goblins decided to venture into her proximity, but as expected she was just sitting there all blue and sleek. The cleaning crew was busy working so I am guessing someone had a Halloween party last night. I should have crashed it.

Got a couple more inches of snow last night, still snowing. Supposed to snow every day until Wednesday. Later this morning I'll take a flashlight out and take a peak in the septic, if it looks "good" then I'll cover up the hole. Yesterday I got the walk behind snowblower out of the barn so I can change the oil and adjust the tracks, etc. Might change oil in the tractor and the wife's Jeep today too, then finish putting the motorized kayak (Mokai) together. I'd like to take it out for a spin before everything freezes up.
Today might be a good chili making day.

Still way too busy for my likes.
Yesterday, walked, Made sweet and salty chex mix to distribute.
Picked up parking lot at Church.
Misc. stuff at home.
Bible study.

Did a walking video this morning.
Will get ready to help at cafe in a little bit. Dressing up and will try to post a photo later.
Misc. stuff later.

Tomorrow, maybe a walking video.
Friends will be picking me up early to go to 15 mile yard sale. I missed it last year as DH was on IV antibiotics on the date of sale.

Sunday, I stay off laptop anyway. Just Church and buy sweet potatoes to dehydrate slices for dogs.

We are finally getting some rain, about an inch so far!

Are there any holiday bazaars you can attend?

I'm up, dressed.
Coffee just finished brewing.
I'm already yawning.
My Irishman is being prickly this morning.
He hasn't shaved his face in 3 days.
Reasoning: It's November. I'm not real sure what that has to do with anything.
I told him kindly to put conditioner on his face so at least it wasn't so prickly.

No shave November. It's something about showing support for men suffering from prostrate cancer, or cancer in general.

That makes sense. Cause he work pink dress shirt with dark charcoal suit to meetings a couple times in October for Breast Cancer Awareness. To show support for me as a cancer survivor.
That's not what he said, he said it's blustery, cold, wet in Ireland in February.

Did you (or are you going to) put it in your firewood thread?
yes, I am going to get a few more steps done, then do a fresh firewood thread, In more logical order , and show some stuff in the bush too, like skidding to the trail etc.

Seems like some people are already getting snow and it's been in the 80s here. It was pouring rain on Halloween-- but the mayor banned trick-or-treating in town and nobody trick-or-treats out in my neck of the woods anyway. I only saw one person wearing a costume in Walmart yesterday.

Metformin is still getting my guts even if I eat when taking it. I've procrastinated on taking Ozempic bc I hate needles.

Had to change Mom's infusion site bc it wasn't working. Looks like the canula bent somehow even though I did everything right when putting it on. But the new one is on and it's working fine now. Mom's pump has a site reminder but she never tells me when it says its time to change stuff.

have to wait for rain to pass before I do some of the painting I wanted to do.

Got a carpet spot cleaner that I need to figure out how to use.

Been tired and feeling bleh past few days. The thunderstorms made me sleepy.

My sister sent me a cervical pillow for my birthday and it finally arrived.

Waiting for Mom to get up so I can figure out what she wants to eat.

I did some running around today. Bought 200 lbs of birdseed & 50 lbs of sunflower seeds to mix with it. Getting ready to feed the birds this winter. We usually go through about 25 lbs per day. Got home & had to carry them through the house to the back yard. I bought a garbage can to store them in. Realized that I needed another so I called my wife (who's bringing a friend home from the hospital) & gave her a shopping list including another garbage can. It felt GREAT giving HER a shopping list, I've got to do that more often. As for carrying the birdseed I'm reminded of a quote from a movie, I'm to old for this ****! The plan for today was to pick some pictures to replace the display cases that we took down. That's changed to drinking a few beers & taking a hot shower & letting the spray relax my back. Tomorrow I'll seal one more display case & maybe work on the display on one more shelf. Oh & my day started off taking my wife's friend to the hospital & dropping her off at 6am. She just called & said thanks, something you don't hear from people much anymore.
