Got a sanding attachment for a drill motor in my CNC mill. Need to level off the spoil board (a sacrificial board for cutting into) as I didn't do it and paid the price. Bad part. Have all items for now working resistance soldering unit. Also getting electronic/electrical parts to add a smaller, 12 volt 10 amp max unit off the main 12 volt 30 amp. I need this to do a functional running test on my gennie. I shouldn't have but picked up a new toy. An ho scale brass 4-6-4 locomotive and tender. All in pieces yet as it is a kit and never finished. I love fixing these!

Well it is off to a good start. I did KP, which is the normal start to my day. I made breakfast burritos for both of us. Then I tackled something new; I made biscuits from scratch. Found an easy recipe, and gave it a try. I waited apprehensively for them to come out of the oven. Scared the you-know-what out of me to set the oven at 500 degrees. Wasn't sure if they would turn out O.K. or if they would be like Elly May Clampett's hockey pucks.

IMHO they were pretty good. We will see what my wife says. She is the acid test.

Got through this week's misadventures..

This is not how a unit of 2 ×10.5 is supposed to roll outside.
It walked right off the rollcase..sigh...
Fun..

On a good note..my new shoes Kuru are holding up pretty good AND the best part..my plantar fasciaits is healing!
It's been 3 weeks of wearing these..I can stand again for hours without hobbling and having pain in every step. For years I've been dealing with this ...years! I'm thinking by spring I'm going to try jogging again 😀

They are pricy but being pain free ..almost..is priceless..
I took the 📸 on top of my machine ..I'm going to send it to the company. These shoes were designed for food service or Healthcare industries but they are holding up good in a lumber mill and helping me.

Today..walk the pups..laundry, make dog food..n do stuff..

I tried to get out of bed but was recalled, eventually she went to shower and I went to make coffee. I filled up a cup, checked my smart phone, grabbed the Dell Precision, and planted my backside in this big puffy chair. Other than cooking a fancy meal for dinner I don't have a lot of plans for today. I do need to check on Charlene and collect the mail, but I don't plan on actually going anywhere.

So there is a spider web ..a little string from the wall to the top of my TV. It's being illuminated by the sun that just rose up over the mountain.
I'm just noticing how it sparkles like diamonds and has a rainbow of color in this tiny strand of web..
I love these little moments..so easy to overlook details of creation ✨

Gunna finish my coffee n catch up on here..just had to share..

Already walked, walked dogs and picked up Church parking lot.
Today, I will do the chores that I haven't done still. Roasting garbanzos, Give dog a bath and put up a small Christmas tree in my office. It's the only room that cat isn't allowed in and I want some semblance of Christmas this year!

Busy morning. I'm about to get in the shower before making lunch. Little granddaughter had a nail go thru her boot, so have been doctoring that. She is cleaning out a chicken coop. Husband's doc said to change his infusion time to 20 min instead of 5, so I just did one mil per minute this last infusion. He is supposed to check back in tomorrow. We'll see. The sun is out hooray!

Soup all done! I like it, wife likes it.

Tastes great ... a bit bland, but ... wife's stomach won't tolerate heavy spices.

I put carrots, celery, mushrooms, onions, garlic, butter, shredded chicken, wild rice, chicken broth, roux, thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, and heavy cream.

Should have enough for several meals.

The wife is gonna finish the soup in no time! She must really like it!!

Some friends went camping at a nearby lake this week, so we went to visit this afternoon. Had an enjoyable time sitting around the campfire and catching up.
Back home now watching UT play football and getting ready for family to come over tomorrow for grilled burgers, tater salad, and hopefully a small fire in the pit...if it don't rain.

G

lad it wasn't worse, glad you are ok!!
Thanks for that Pearl it was the most frightening experience I've ever had in my whole life I'm grateful that my insurance is the top tier cover meaning the extra $$ a month has pretty much paid for itself plus the insurance company I'm with assigned a damage assessor less than 24 hours after it happened so they hit the ground running after the claim was lodged

I have a local car dealer who sold me the fourbie he isn't too happy after I told him on Friday arvo about the missed/undiagnosed head gasket which set me back about 2k to replace last year its the second vehicle he sold me that previous owner didn't declare any mechanical issues before selling it to him the first being a rather nice ford executive car with towbar that he sold me after my old barina was written off by a tree branch being felled by a rain wrapped tornado

The executive car was a nice vehicle to drive but had an a undeclared mechanical problem being the engine bearings were completely worn away resulting in loss of acceleration and engine power only on my 2nd day of driving it I'm hoping he will have a vehicle i can borrow until the claim is settled then I'll pay him outright for it

I'm beat..
Walked the pups, store, made dog food, made my breakfast n lunches for the week, laundry, cleaned n tidied up the garden somewhat..cleaned up a section of the barn, dumped old goat bedding around walnut tree and inside coop run, got two trays each of portobello mushrooms and elderberries in the dehydrator..
Ate a bite of extra lunch fare , was going to watch a doc or something..but my bed was callin..
What a fantastic day tho..got stuff done n enjoyed it 😀!
Oh..shoveled dog poo..filled up a five gallon bucket...haven't done it in awhile...yikes..

Got back from North Platte and now I'm just chilling at home. I feel sleep coming on soon. GF wants me to come to her gym and work out tomorrow morning at 0800. Problem is, it's 30 miles away in her town and I've just gotten done driving 425 miles home. I'll try my best to get there, but I don't feel like getting up early to drive another 40 minutes, and if I don't get up in time, I'm not going to feel too bad.

Stuff like that can make everyday life just come to a stand still! Things one is not expecting to deal with!!

Sounds like two great opportunities to have a cigar. What did you smoke?

I am meeting my buddy at the Cigar Bar tomorrow. Not sure what I will light up, but I know it will be good.

went to meeting yesterday , ate too much and got back late, so nothing else got done. I enjoyed going to the meeting and talking to some people we hadn't seen in a while, and the guest speaker was great too but I am not used to sitting that long, my back actually hurt afterwards.
kitchen is a mess since nobody did dishes yesterday and son made himself some food while we were gone ( I don't want him to do the dishes, his idea of clean and mine are not exactly the same, his excuse" it's good for the immunity" smartass...

Today we are doing animal care and maybe move some into the barn overnight. It is supposed to finally rain, but I am not holding my breath, will probably go just around us again like usual. But if we leave them out and it rains and gets cold they might get sick just before I want to send some to the auction in a few weeks. Will check weather again later and see what it looks like.

I suppose the kitchen still needs cleaning so that will get done today too

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Going to clean my building after I feed Buddy! Got his hooves trimmed yesterday so that's a biggie off the list! Hubby did the touch up mowing, so another biggie off the list! I'll stop home after the building and get Bear, we will go to TSC for a few things, he really needs to get out! And it looks like it will be warm enough later for a little pool float time!

It was toasty under the big comforter with my bed buddy this morning so it took a very long time to climb out from underneath it, but eventually nature demanded I answer the call. She of course went back to sleep. Since I was up I decided it was time for hot bean juice and some 80's yacht rock. The kitchen is a mess so I have that to clean before I start in on brunch. Today I am making waffles with peach sauce, whipped cream and a little real maple syrup, as well as thick cut bacon. After that we will just have to see what the day brings.
