@Sewingcreations15 if someone is holding her, if you get right in front, pry mouth open, chuck pill to back of throat and blow in her face. They have to swallow to catch their breath. You'll know the pill went down because she will lick her nose. Sounds funny, but I had a neighbor ask if I could help pill their cat one time. They handed me the pill and were talking and I gave it to the cat. They offered to help hold etc. I said I gave it already. They couldn't believe it.
You do realize she is going to be grumpy now and will probably take it out on the local wildlife and come in in the morning with white fur in her teeth and claws :)
Hope DH perks up soon.

@MoBookworm1957 Glad all is well and Happy Birthday :lil guy:
@Amish Heart You are awesome. Way to stand up to the system and know what you will do and won't do. I would be completely lost (& I think many others are too.). Your GD has the best chance with you fighting for her. She's lucky to have you.@Peanut Ouch! Will have to go catch up on yellow root. Get some rest and heal quickly.
@Meerkat You're a dear - ornery or otherwise :devil:

About two weeks ago I mentioned we were test driving a new dog and promised photos if we kept him. The first picture is Misty Mountain, 4 year old spayed pure bred border collie. Non stop goer ... like a collie on speed. Existing dog. Second picture is Jasper 5 year old neutered border collie marema cross. Laid back,

Thank you @LadyLocust it worked with giving the terror tot her tablet :) . Waited for terror tot to be napping and nice and sedate and DH got the tablet I got the towel. Tilted head back DH pried jaws open, threw in tablet, shut mouth and I blew on her face and down it went and she licked her nose. Wow couldn't be easier and no tramatised cat or bitten fingers. We have our new technique now.

Round 2 successful tablet delivery on the cat first time, a nice brush by DH for her which she loved and we put her flea and tick treatment on.

This afternoon went to the RSL and had a few soft drinks and some nice conversations. Tonight's dinner was a mince and vegetable stir fry and the last third of our cheesecake between the two of us.

Just about to make the bed with clean sheets and fold up two loads of clean laundry and put it away.

Dreary day...overcast, and cool.
Weather man is predicting 3 to 6 inches of rain tonight and tomorrow.

Wife. Wants to plant the mum's she bought on our Amish trip.
That means digging holes .

I only have one good knee,
I told her to wait till I get the other new knee.
I got one of those looks.

Guess I'll be digging holes today.
For mum's.

On a different forum I was censored!

OP posted that they full time RV with handguns. They were planning on entering Canada from Washington State and returning via Montana State. OP asked on recommendations on how to store their firearms in Washington and then getting them to Montana for the OP's return trip.

One of the replies was, "RENT A LOCK BOX AT A BUS DEPOT!" So I asked, "Washington bus depots lock boxes have teleporters to Montana bus depot lock boxes?" A short time after my post I received a email from a moderator, "A recent post was removed as it was a personal attack against another member. Do not engage in personal attacks...Sarcasm, belligerence, insults, profanity, extreme anger, offensive comments about race, gender, sexual orientation, and national organ are not acceptable."

Wow! I thought. The member I replied to must have a lot of forum political power? There are a few other active threads that they have been going at each other for pages! Think I'll retreat to my safe place to reload some more ammunition....:D

Need to finish my coffee and do the floors. CPS comes at 10 a.m. to take photos. Husband is working from home today, and we plan to go to lunch this afternoon. The twins are going every which way. Granddaughter helping to set up the haunted house at the elementary school, grandson will be at the football game till late for marching band. Pageant of the Marching Bands is tomorrow afternoon so we'll all be there. Then Homecoming Dance. I think the twins will drop come Sunday.

I am at home today as (once again) I have to work tomorrow. This time because a friggen' TV show is filming in town and you would think Jesus Himself was going to descend from the clouds and hand out bundles of gold coins and cures for all disease. They are estimating a crowd of 10,000+ people trying to catch a glimpse of these celebrities and maybe be lucky enough to get on the show in the background. Which means crowd control teams and threat assessment planning. Of course now politicians are coming out of the wood work trying to capitalize on the media hype and fan fair. Which means protection teams and security plans. Can you feel the tax dollars being burned like coal in a steam engine? Anyway tomorrow is going to be chaotic, but today is going to be calm and low key.

I'm enjoying the sun it is easier to see in natural sun light. Can't stand when night time comes, vision gets worse.
But it seems to be improving some or am I just getting use to it. At least the panic anxiety is not bad this paast week. I had to deal with that for awhile, not so much now.
Learning to go real slow but not ready to accept what they say at all.
Will be seeing'pun intended ' my vet tomorrow, :D just kidding!!:) ruff ruff.:p

I will being planting mum's today.

Well as always, it's more work than planned on.
I had to remove all the old lava rock, old plastic, and then lower the dirt mound by about 14".
Then dig 2 holes in dirt like concrete , the size of a 5 gal bucket.

Got it done. Now I'm ready for her to take me to lunch.

It just stopped raining here. My garden is drowning! Maybe it will dry out in time. Lots of mustard green seeds just coming up! I made about 30 of the bookmarks from old Christmas cards today and put them right in with folks Christmas cards. Fast and easy and pretty too!

It's been raining off and on since before I got up... I processed some herbs and made a tincture. Going to do a little mopping later... Oh! I almost forgot! I've watched reruns of bad cop shows on tv all day. :(

Peanut better luck next time on the re runs. I'm getting pretty hard up for entertainment too.
We'er suppose to leave our common sense at the dial now.

it started out at 55F and sprinkling when i got out of bed. at 6:30am..now it's 52F and still raining.
Sounds like my tomorrow :( At least our local Quest channel is back on the air after the repack.

Round 1 of today is DH has brightened up which is good and the stint in the garden always helps I find.

@LadyLocust you jinxed us we woke up with feathers everywhere outside the bedroom door for her to show us her disgust from yesterdays episode :) . She is laying on her chair with chair cushion after having a nice long brush by DH to get off her winter fur like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. The cat is and always has been a bit of a nervous wreck having been a stray but she likes it here in a nice quiet household and runs when she sees any stranger come into the home such as when the electricians came. I think she may have been abused by a few people and only trusts us and a very few other friends.

My dear old friend in the nursing home passed away yesterday having been diagnosed with cancer and developing dementia. She went downhill really quickly :(, but I am happy she is not in pain any more and is at rest. Myself and a few friends will be dressing her for her funeral in around a week. I will always remember her for the great conversations we had about the war times, rationing, living frugally, her wisdom, her strong religious beliefs, and the hard working life she and her husband led.

Shortly DH will vacuum the whole house and then we are heading down to the RSL to load groceries a local veterans charity raised funds for and donated to the RSL to give to the community here as we are in drought. From what others tell us most of the farmers here will not take any sort of help as they deem they have failed and it is typically a country independence thing. They will only accept help when and if it reaches a point where they have no food, water or money for many weeks.

DH and I will also clean the inside of the club as they have a bingo coming up tomorrow and the club could do with a bit of a spruce up and general spring clean.

In all seriousness @phideaux I was worried if your new knee would hold up so well done in getting everything done, you are a champion :) .

SC thanks,
I went to the surgeon yesterday, pre-op for the right knee
.
He examined the left knee also.
Twisted, pulled , pushed
He said , at 92 days, the knee was what he hopes to see at a year.
He measured all motion , and was amazed.

So I don't even notice it anymore, little inflamation, but he said that would last 9 more months.

I'm extremely happy with the results.
Now I hope the next one does as well.

Jim

The difference is @phideaux is you worked the knee and did everything to strengthen it and that is where you are ahead. Most sit and do no exercises and wonder why it isn't getting any better. I knew from what you said your recovery would be way ahead so I am glad you have good results but I know you did work for it too.
