@MoBookworm1957 prayers and luck be with you dear! Like a kid at camp, Strawberry will have a blast then about the time she gets tired of all the fun and games, she will get to come home and will be as happy to see you as you will to see her :huggs:

Also @Weedygarden I still think your avatar is just one of the cutest darn pictures I've ever seen :)
Thank you

Update on Strawberry's care while I deal with surgery tomorrow.
Strawberry happily got into cousin's van after she slipped out of her harness again.
Loaded up her kennel and off she went to run , play on 20 acres.
As luck would have it her brother Lucky lives on that same 20 acres.
Hopefully she won't kill any chickens while she 's there.
She gave me big slurp, laid down in front seat, never looked back.
Finishing up my to do list for surgery tomorrow.
Floors are dusted, bed linens are being washed now.
Then bed will be remade with clean sheets, blankets.
Hopefully will only be in hospital 2-3 days.
And next week Strawberry will be back with me.
My place is quite.
Just got to make dinner, do up dab of dishes.
Can't have coffee after midnight.
So am sipping on a pot now.
Not so worried about the surgery.
But extremely worried about Strawberry.
Prayers for you, Mo. Wishing you the best. I will be thinking of you.

Spent three hours talking to an old friend who called me today. I haven't seen or talked to her in over 30 years, but I have tried to several times. The call made my day and will be long remembered fondly. She has lost two children and is divorced from her husband. She has had many struggles, but is a strong and resourceful person.

Good for you Weedy, nothing like an old friend. I talk to one of mine almost daily. Been friends since kids almost 60 years. My oldest friend avoids me since her new hubby does not want her to have friends except his.

DOn't know if I have a different doseage than you guys or just a different reaction to it. But I've been sleeping pretty good, once I have been able to breathe. I can be an a$$ so not much changed with that. LOL

I've taken it before with no issues but that last time...

I hate when spouses do that. Nothing worse than a person who has to control the ones they're supposed to love the most...

Happy New Year to you all over in the States :) .

Yesterday being New Years here we decided to get stuck into cleaning so we did a load of washing each and used the water to water potted fruit trees, water star jasmine and also to clean down two patio tables, the smoker and a tool cabinet (the one we took out of the kitchen to put in the stove) and then wiped them over with clean water to finish. I swept half of the back patio to get rid of leaves and the liked.

DH set off the grey water to water a mandarin tree in the paddock so that is now watered for the week.

This morning we folded up three loads of clean laundry and put it away and DH washed the dishes, cleaned the benches and I wiped the dishes and put them away. I have set off the drip irrigation system for the garden and watered all the potted fruit trees and filled up the kangaroo and wallaby water for the afternoon.

Dinner tonight was a mushroom and chicken omelette and seasoned with paprika and worstershire sauce with sprinkled cheese and dessert is nice cold ice cream :) .

@phideaux glad the infection has cleared up in your knee and take it easy :).

@MoBookworm1957 good luck for your surgery tomorrow and you and Strawberry will be in our prayers. You will be home in no time with your girl again :).

@timmie you are still in our prayers and hope you are doing ok and if not home will be home shortly :) .

Thank you. It is the me that most people wouldn't associate with me now.
I still wear braids lol
Hubby likes them for some strange reason *shrugs*

I so agree. I noticed that in my last relationship that the control came on slowly, but towards the end, several of my friendships were closed off for reasons that were his. People have their own issues of jealousy, insecurity, and others. As someone I know said, "Everyone needs a little therapy sooner or later." I often think therapy is like paying someone instead of having a good friend who listens, asks good questions, reasons, and is able to diplomatically point out some things that need to be looked at and reconsidered.

Good luck and godspeed Mo. No worries, it will all work out.

There's (supposedly) no risk in having a therapist. Your friend could decide to turn on you, for what you tell them. The therapist is paid not to. That's the difference, I think...

Good luck in Cali. I don’t envy your flight. I always hated flying into SFO. My flights were usually from the east coast, a few times from O’Hare in Chicago but that’s still a 5-hour flight.

I do remember one that was enjoyable. There was a 4-hour mechanical delay at O’Hare. I ended up sitting in an airport bar between a Catholic priest and an Episcopalian minister from Mississippi. I think I heard every religious joke in existence during that 4 hours. o_O

Most of the passengers were as tanked as I was when we boarded. Funny, a guy boarded carrying a motorcycle helmet. People started bidding on the helmet since it was a mechanical delay. The bid got up $175 but he still wouldn’t sell. :D It was just in fun.

While being pushed back from the gate the pilot made an announcement. “Because of the extra long delay drinks will be free for the duration of the flight” that was the last thing we needed.

You should have seen this group try to disembark at SFO. Most of the passengers needed a luggage cart… to ride in! :D

@MoBookworm1957 If all went according to plans, you are a little loopy right now but have a new knee :). Hope it was boring for the surgeon and your system just says "new knee - cool. Let's go.."

@timmie Hang in there. You have a whole crew out here routing for and praying for you!

I had a productive day but a long one in the rain, it poured at times. I drove to the little town to get a prescription filled, went faster than I figured so I got lunch and filled up the truck. I then drove an hour to the big town. I got a haircut then went to the big box store. Most of their large appliances were marked down 40%. I found a stove I wanted last night online. It’s a 5-burner gas stove with continuous grates on top so I don’t have to pick up heavy pots etc. I can slide them anywhere.

I got it ordered, won’t be here for a few weeks but delivery is free. For some reason the store computer system wouldn’t let the guy order the LP conversion kit for the stove. I’ll have to call their support people tomorrow and get one shipped directly. I’m not about to chase a kit down through the LP company, drive to pick it up hoping it’s the right one. Getting it sent to my door from the big box store makes more sense for me. It’s only $27.

Afterwards was grocery shopping. I didn’t have the energy to cook supper so I went to the place down the road and had a rib eye then home. It’s about time for dad’s medicine so maybe I can crash by midnight.

My stove came with the kit. Double check it to see if its taped on somewhere.

Maybe thats why the computer wouldn't accept the part number, it might be included... I'll find out from the support people when I call tomorrow.

I have to give a plug for the box store whose name starts with an "L". They have a 10% military discount. It means a lot when buying large appliances. It's where I bought my fridge and my air conditioner...

That's where we bought ours.
