Went to watch grand daughter at 0430 hours this morning.(sigh) Found out mom was off today.
So went to Walmart picked up a few fresh vegetables; mushrooms, celery, grape tomatoes, mozzeralla cheese, etc.
This was approx. 0530. Came home put groceries away. Got sleep shirt and shorts back on went back to bed.
Just getting up for the second time today.
Redressed, Strawberry has been outside several times.
Balmy day, little bit windy.
Got the kitchen table just about cleaned off again.
Added water to the yellow roses I received from son and grand daughter( Estelle) for Valentine's day.
Talked to special friend (male) on phone.
He's at Walter Reed Hospital for a while.
Talked to Estelle's mom(grand daughter's mom) her sister's surgery is today.
They are amputee her leg today. At the hip.
She was in wreck few years ago.
Two tractor trailers hit head on, she was in little car in middle of collision.
Both drivers went to sleep, smashed her.
Making pot of coffee, reading on here for a bit.
Would like to kick back and relax all day.
But got several projects need finishing in sewing room.
Have Estelle tomorrow and Saturday.
Grand daughter's aunt is back in her room.
Hip surgery went as well as can be expected.
Might have to go smack special male friend upside the head.
He tried to use arm they just put back together.
Tore everything up.
Had grand daughter today.
While mom and big guy cousin(16) had a good cry.
His mom has had 5 surgeries since Christmas.
Not counting this one today.
Super drained, going to bed.
Night all.

I'm sorry your family is going through this hard times. I'll remember them in my prayers tonight. Y'all keep your spirits up, OK?

Finishing my morning cup of coffee. Going to feed the animals, get cleaned up, make husband breakfast. Then off to the hospital for the fluid withdrawal from the cyst in husband's spine. Hopefully adding steroid will shrink it. They can get a needle in there, but removing it would mean removing some vertebrae. They don't want to do that with him, because he probably wouldn't survive that. I do know adding steroid is going to mess with his blood sugar, so he needs to watch it today.
BUT...I took the day off today, and with Monday being a holiday, I am off 4 consecutive days. I plan to make sure he is waited on, and also get some household stuff done. The dehydrator is full of tomatoes again, but next up will be three batches of shredded zucchini. I have sauerkraut ready to can, and need to get some lettuces and spinach planted in pots.

Kid got home from work at midnight and let the dogs out. 2 came in one didn't want to. It started raining while we were asleep and she decided she wanted back in but no one heard her "knocking". Yes, she can knock. Well........ She decided to try to open the door herself. Back and side door. The top 2 lifts are the same knob, top and bottom.

I had a dog do that once... demolished a screen door during a thunder storm...

Just got out of the hospital. I had a heart attack on the 13th, it was scary but I'm in the clear now.
Oh my word, Hashbrown!
I cannot imagine what that must have been like for you and your family.
God bless, and prayers for your continued improvement.

I have a head gate for my goats. Bought it used for $500 from someone getting out of goats. Best money we ever spent on them. It's still a dirty job. Looks like this:

that's what I use on my milk stand. One side is removable so I can sit and milk.

She completely broke the storm door "knob". The other has a nice imprint of her top and bottom teeth. Stupid dog is to smart for her own good. Good thing we don't have the lever type knobs. She'd have made it in soaking wet.

Now that sounds like fun! No guests today?
cross country skiing today was a blast. Temperature around freezing, sunny and simply gorgeous out. Second time in 40 years, the first was a couple weeks ago, I suspect the hat tomorrow I will be sore in places I don’t remember having.

No guests today. The off season tends to see one or two guests a week. Shoulder season more and we are already fully booked, six days a week June-September

@hashbrown Why did you wanna go and do that for! I'm glad you're recovering. Did you have any warning?
