At 2 am today I finally got up and took my BP. Wasn't feeling good.
It was very high, but more important was my pulse rate was 165....here we go again.
Got the wife up, we head off to ER at big town of Paducah.
I am now in ICU after spending 6 hours in ER , yep shocked again.
They also did a CT scan and found blood clots in both lungs, suspect from knee surgery.
They think this may be triggering these heart rhythm problems .
They are monitoring me closely and have meds flowing to control the heart and thinners for the clots.

So I'll report back when I can .

Not feeling the greatest.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Going to the ER was the thing to do, especially with blood clots. I hope you get to feeling better, real soon.

Yard and garden! I have three garden beds that I am working on. They all desperately need peat moss added, and I will likely need to go get another large bag today.

I found an Artemesia plant and got that put in, in the same bed where my herbs were planted. I am still trying to figure out about getting more medicinal plants. Daughter sprained her ankle last week and is taking an Artemesian remedy for it. I have an Artemesian salve that I bought in Tucson many years ago.

Man; Just came inside from helping Meerkat do some plants. Really sorry you going through Jim, you are one tough Dude and I am pulling for you.:)

Prayers your way.👍

@phideaux you're in the right place. You're in my prayers. Have you had blood clots before? I had never, not until a couple weeks after surgery; they said they were very small and in my lungs, one or two tiny clots...I was put on blood thinners and thankfully didn't have to stay on that.
The Lord is ever mindful of you

So sorry, Phideaux. Husband had a pulmonary embolism a few years ago and the blood thinner injections in the stomach were not fun. Glad you figured out something was wrong right away, before it got away from you. Prayers for you and your wife.
Frodo...already packed the brass tumbler. And the walnut shells. But I'll tell you what, that treadmill was the worst thing we've loaded so far.

Got the new to us dryer in, cleaned out a big area in front of the garage doors. Some electric garage door fixit people will be coming by Thursday. Went to the post office, and then put out the baby chicks for sale sign. Husband going to get his test done in the drive thru, so I'll tackle the bedroom mess we made yesterday, today. Lots of dust under that treadmill and end tables.

Glad you are being watched over and taken care of, Phideaux!

Walked and did short video this morning, put out 2 bales of hay (most over front garden) and finished with a little on back garden. Have completed 3 loads of laundry.

Supposed to make hummus and sugar free pudding. Not sure if I will do either one.

Okay, that's about enough of that. As a forum mod I demand you feel better or I will have to put you on double secret probation. 🙃

Heading over to the prayer thread.

@Weedygarden that's fascinating. There are monthly assignments? I would love to find out more about that!!
I was horrified when I found out some things from the early 1800s about my ancestors.
Something that was fun for me...my mom researched and found wills from the mid 1800s in my dad's great grandparents' line. Things like, "to my daughter, (whatever her name was)...I leave the brown cow, Bessie, to be allowed to graze and feed and live on the acreage given to my son, (whichever son that was)..."
These days, we'd be like, "oh thanks for the COW, Dad." (Insert sarcasm). While brother gets 80 acres.
It definitely was not all things equal.
Apparently that great-great grandfather of mine had a bit of money, land, and farming. Who knew? Not me.
Actually Patch, that was probably very thoughtful of him. "Dairy" the selling of milk and butter was acceptable for a woman to do. By inserting that the cow could graze on the land, she would have no outlay of funds for the critter and would have a means by which to make some income. If a woman owned land - depending upon where & when, there were ways it could be taken from her, especially if she married.

@Frodo Is that the REAL Frodo???

Well, been in ICU since about 10 am, have been poked ,pulled , proded and required to throw all diginity out the window.

I'm really tired and they just keep coming with needles and picture making equipment.
They don't even have diet Pepsi...geeze.

I guess tomorrow they will have all the test data and decide what to do about the whole situation.
I told them I will not go thru another lightning strike to my body.
This one was worse than the one 2 months ago.

How's it feel? Like someone exploded a few sticks of dynamite on your chest .....really.

Thank you to all my friends here for your thoughts and prayers. This one is a tough one.

Now I gotta deal with those clots , which they are kinda thinking is what's causing my heart to go bananas.

Hope to know more tomorrow.

Y'all have a good evening.

Jim

A niegbor gave us the electrix onembo way would we buy one,too expensive. We threw it away. Went back to manual roller far less dangerous. We didn't smoke but 1/2pack a day till this isolation came but still not much more than 1/2 pk.
'This' cigs are from Korea I think it is and almost 1/3 price of other tailor mades .
My roller went bad,the injector got bent but the Mrs let me have hers since she went back to buying them. If the price hasn't went up it'll only be about $11 to fix mine I think.
I've heard getting Foreign made ones were cheaper since they're not taxed like USA made ones. I use pipe tobacco in mine and it's not taxed anything like the cigarette tobacco for them.

That sounds like a good idea Squrrel Hunter. But that electric roller we had couldn't be fixed.

Hey Patch...yep, that's the big word. Husband usually takes Xarelto, a blood thinner tablet each day, because he doesn't get around much and has had clots in his legs a lot. But we had to do injections with a really thick needle when he had a pulmonary embolism. He normal does injections a number of times of day in his stomach with insulin, but that is only a tiny needle. The big needle used to make him yell a lot.
Not sure what's on the agenda today. There's lots to do, just don't know yet what I'm in the mood for.
