Mrs. Urban would love to, except she hasn't been able to do the stairs for over 10 years (She has several cronic illnesses including End State Congestive Heart Failure and Charcot Foot). This makes it difficult for her because the laundry and main storage areas are in the basement, I do inventories to tell her what we have. This is why having a fully stocked "working" pantry in the kitchen that is easy to reach is so important for her.Urban, I think you should have Mrs Urban go in before they sprout and move them all around. Then it doesn't matter what you think is where because it won't be. And as a special bonus, you will get to test your plant identification skills I use eggshells for seed cups: write on the shell. When it is time to transplant, just crunch the shell and put it all in the hole. In the garden, I use railroad spikes for markers. I paint "beans" "corn" etc on the top. Just be sure to pull them before you rototill.
Hope all your family and friends stay well and safe. Enjoy your mom, time is so valuable. We had a friend that always had a really big garden. He decided to grow only in 5 gallon buckets one year, and he had a good harvest. I would try those potatoes. This time last year, the room off of our kitchen was full of normally outdoor plant food.
Not sure what's up today. Yesterday was mom's day, her 88th. Tried to order more nicorette gum online from Sams, where I usually get it, and they said it's out, unless I come in the store. I think it's like your Costco TP, Urban. They just want you in the store. Maybe will have to go there today. Kids have (home) school, there is house cleaning to be done, as friends from NM are coming in tomorrow for a few days. The guy digging the basement should be here in about an hour.
EARLY This morning I woke up to a charlie horse in my right leg.... after dancing myself down the hall I sat down at the computer and looked at my list of seed "holes", hello burpee, no more holes.
Ordered some African Violet soil and other gardenie things that I havn't been abe to find locally.
Went on-line to CostCo, discovered "no more online orders of TP for the rest of the year", I guess my making 2 orders a week for a couple of months wasn't a mistake
Went to HD at 06:00 and picked up a few Homer Buckets, half as many lids.....
Orange 5 gallon plastic bucket Home Depot sells with their name on them. Lowes sells blue one, tractor Supply Red ones.Urban what is a Homer Bucket?

She is amazing! But no I haven't seen her in concert unfortunately. They days when I did concerts I was after a different type of music lol, and now when I appreciate artists like her more I can't stand the crowds.@Rebecca I haven't seen many posts on here so we might just be nosing in different threads. But I guess I'll "invite" you to this thread, and ask if you have ever seen Natalie MacMasters in concert? She is an incredible fiddlest! She has 5 kids so doesn't tour too far from home.
I'm not much on crowds eitherShe is amazing! But no I haven't seen her in concert unfortunately. They days when I did concerts I was after a different type of music lol, and now when I appreciate artists like her more I can't stand the crowds.
I guess I haven't posted on here because I really don't do anything fascinating most of the time. Like today I spent most of the short daylight hours cutting more mulch and putting on my raised garden beds, I have a lot of raised beds! I decided rather late in the season that I wanted to add more mulch now so I'm not under pressure at planting time in spring.
Amish Heart,Laundry. Total house cleaning. Expecting guests sometime this evening, so a good dinner cooked. Husband wants to go into the bigger town today to order his new bike and take mine in for off road tires. We didn't get to that yesterday. Kids are still confined to the farm till Thanksgiving, so they can help with stuff. The big equipment is still in the yard to finish digging the basement. It looks about 3/4 dug. Telling granddaughter to go look and see if some animal fell in it last night.
