Survived the long trip and back to Wichita for husband's doc appt. Now on cooking dinner strike. There's leftovers.

Domestic violence mostly.

I was recently told that I am a fixer / problem solver while the lady is a venter. She doesn't want me to fix things, she wants to me listen to her bitch about things. Under certain specific conditions, I do what I'm told.

Ran into a problem while getting the camper ready Saturday. Ended up took the battery to get tested. It was toast. Bought a new, larger Diehard deep cycle unit. Got home and hooked it up. Everything is back as it should be now. Sorted thru my trucks GHB and found my headlamp dead. Swapped batteries and good to go. Fed the birds, then smoked a cigar before coming back inside. Mail dropped off a couple books I ordered. Ill post them over on what are you reading.

Today was planning research and phone calls.

Planned next steps to jack up the house. If I can locate the top and bottom plates for the jack I should be good to go.

I talked to an assistant of my money guy to get her started researching companies that supply the military industrial complex. She was very happy with the insights. Now it up to her to Google ticker symbols her boss can investigate.

Researched ideal investment portfolios for a war. We are already there.

Talked my buddy that had his great toe amputated. Getting better but it will be some time until he will be working on the Camero again soon.

Took a nap.

Good idea on the investigation. Between that, energy companaies, and a few other industries, should be some good opportunities coming along soon

RTN had been good to me. Bought a lot on 9/11.

Dropped the wife's Jeep off at the dealership today. Then we remembered that we're going up north to pick up the grandson on Thursday. I hope they get the Jeep done tomorrow. That's a 150 mile round trip (south) for the Jeep and 400 RT (north) to get the grandson. The roads were in good shape today, once we got down the mountain and in the valley. Supposed to snow again tonight, tomorrow and the next 12 out of 14 days.

I was in dire need of work jeans for here on the farm or in the woods plant hunting. The 3 pairs I had were about thread bare. In fact they started ripping when I was working on fences in sept. Recently in another thread Blue Mtn utility jeans at tsc were mentioned, only $15 a pair. I saw them yesterday, needed 2 pair’s of good wranglers for playing music too. That tsc store only had one pair of each in my size.

I worked on the stairs today in the blue mtn jeans. They have a hammer loop on one leg and a rule pouch on the other. All the pockets are deep for stuffing with tools. They are a bit baggy but comfortable for work. This afternoon I had to go to lowes in the big town for lumber. A tsc store is 2 blocks away so… Got another pair of wranglers and 2 more of the blue mtn jeans. Guess I’m set for social and work jeans for the next couple of years. 5 pairs for less than $100. In case anyone is in the market...

Coming home from town today. Temp about 20 degs.

looks like it rained some last night, and still have a weird to useless weather forecast. So we could get anywhere from a little bit of rain to 12 inches of snow. THat's a big difference! I looked at various weather sites . But I am not going to worry about it, if we get 12 inches of snow, we will just have to take the animals to the local auction and get less money for them. THat;s worst case

But really, these weather pinheads want to tell us something about the climate, yet they can't even make a correct forecast for a few days...idiots!

Today animal care , and regular chores, nothing else planned
I wished this week was over somehow

Woke up early. Sigh
Will walk first or do video.
Heading up to Brookhaven for DH's first pulmonologist visit-new doctor.
Also will look at vehicles as it is a bigger town than I am in.
Really don't have anything else on my list and the above will take most of the day.

I had two cleaning jobs scheduled today (neighbors), and they both have a stomach bug! I could have squeezed in an extra job, but I am staying home instead!! I always over schedule around the holidays, so I'll take any time off I can!! Chilly morning, I put the heat on, haha, fire in the wood stove! Enjoying coffee until daylight!! Pretty sure I'm going to start cleaning out the big storage shed today!!

I don;t light ours until it is around 55, you would freeze here LOL
I'd get used to it!! It's hard to adjust here, I had on shorts and a tank top yesterday afternoon, now a big dip in temps! Going to be 80° this weekend, then 50's and 60's! I used to like winter when I lived up north!

It's funny how people adjust to temps according to where they live. We have company coming in from New Mexico on Saturday to stay for a few days. Their weather is similar to ours, so no difference. But when our daughters come in from Tuscon, and they'll be coming in Monday and the other on Tuesday, they will bring parkas, and use the portable heater in the guest room. My Florida sis is the same. Always cold here. We've had crazy jumpy weather up till last week...70F in the afternoon, freezing at night. It's been feeling cold outside to me the last few days in the 40's because it's been wet and super windy on top of that.

We've been burning our wood stove 24/7 for well over a month now. Probably won't let it go out until mid April. If we shut the draft down it'll keep a fire all night.
Its snowing this morning. I need to work on the small snowblower before I can use it.

It's a beautiful day here today. The generator has been starting on its own the last 2 days, and all of our drains are flowing normally. Of course I'm not going to let my guard down and cover the septic tank just yet. I'll leave the access cover open to the clean out until probably spring, and put some fiberglass posts around it so I can see it. Of course everything is covered in a foot of snow now and looks nice.
