got all the shopping done, and I should have taken the Yukon I think, we almost couldn't fit everything in the Traverse. We had 4 bags of chicken feed, a bag of sunflower seeds, 40 carton of bottled water, 2 coolers, some 5 gallon buckets plus the rest of the groceries. Son got a mirror to hang on his wall since he has none and needs to be presentable if he ever gets a job interview. It's ok, it was $7
Oh and 2 large bags of newspapers from the library

cooked after we got home, and just got done with dishes. Husband did put up the animals ( but we did most of the work this morning, he just had to put them in and refill waters)

Did not find my $5 Yule tree. Actually very few places selling trees, just one place outside and they were expensive

Husband got the picc line removed today. Hopefully it'll stay out for awhile. Catching up on laundry (still). Arthritis bad today so no big work projects for me. But going to make dinner early because of the band/choir concert tonight I'll be getting little granddaughter to.
Regarding the small cars....when I go shopping, I take the truck. And I get 4 to 500 lbs of feed at a time. The groceries fit in the back set of the extended cab, and they take up the whole area. So I'm thinking maybe people don't cook and eat out or do the doordash thing, so they don't buy many groceries. If I take an amish neighbor grocery shopping with me, the whole bed is filled with ice chests and bags. Just for two families, we'll fill the whole entire truck up. If they're going in on their own to the bigger town, they'll take the tractor and tow the horse trailer. That'll have all the ice chests in it. But at our little amish store, we can get some in bulk, like the 50 lb bags of flour.

Got the trusses built today and put the first one up. I ordered the 1×12 rough sawn boards for the siding. I hope to pick it up on Saturday. We're supposed to get snow starting Thursday morning, which is when we're heading down for feed and groceries. We always take the wife's Grand Cherokee and the small trailer when we go shopping.
I installed a new shop light above my tool box in the garage. Now the wife wants one above the freezer too. I need 2 more lights for the pump house too. I'll pick them up Thursday.
High temp was 27 degs today with zero wind, so it was nice working outside.

Over slept 2 and a half hours this morning, must have needed it. I accomplished quite a bit yesterday so… Only did a few things this afternoon, got some cable pulled and a new outlet wired. Since I had power to both the washer and dryer I did a load of laundry, did a load for dad too.

Went up to the shop looking for a level about 3pm. I didn’t find it but I did find a 3/8ths drill I forgot I owned. Found one of dad’s cars running also, just sitting there idling. Went an asked him about it. He went to feed the chickens and get mail about 1pm. Got out of the car, got distracted and forgot about it. Must have been running a couple hours. Guess I need to keep a closer eye on him...

While I was up at the shop I called the cows to see if they’d come to me. They did, took a while though. They were in the woods behind the high field, I heard Rocky the calf answer me. When they got to the barn they got 50lbs of feed as a reward.

No plans but tv tonight.

Re: running car

Retractable key chain?

He wouldn't be able to get out of the car without his keys?

Could you gift him and get him to use it?

Just spent an hour washing items that are on a 3-tier bar cart we have. It was tucked away in a corner, and filled with dust!!

So everything has to be washed ... glasses, bottles, and all sorts of bar-associated items.

I'm about half way done.
Me thinks you must be good at washing. If you run out, come on over. I have plenty to wash still.

Another rough sciatica day, and evening!! Took Ibuprofen but it hasn't helped much! Hoping tomorrow is better!! Going to bed early, hoping I can sleep!!
Was it you who uses dmso at times? Can you soak your hands in Epsom salt water? I know broken record here but hey, do you listen 🤨

Freezing fog right now. I had to educate Hubby on the difference between snow and freezing fog - geesh. Got cards out today and 2 pkgs mailed. Have 3 more to mail, 2 of which are ready. Getting there 🥸

Yes I listen mom!! And yes, just used DMSO about 30 minutes ago, has helped! I will soak my hands in Epsom salt water tomorrow! I have DMSO on the base of my thumbs now! Thank you, I appreciate you!!💖😉

Wild day. Wife hasn't felt worth a crap since Thursday. Finally got her to let me take her to a walk in clinic. They sent her to the ER. Got her there at 3, we just now got home. They think she has a kidney infection. She got 2 rounds of anti biotics and I've gotta pick up some scripts for her tomorrow morning. She finally ate a little and got a full load of IV's.
Hopefully That'll get her straightened out

The name Ballarat is familiar and then I remembered its the setting for The Doctor Blake Mysteries. I used to be able to make really long drives but now I struggle to stay awake on 4-hr drives. Glad you made it safely.
Ballarat is location of the historic gold rush era uprising known as the Eureka Rebellion which involved gold miners from Australian, Scottish, Irish, Italian and American backgrounds rebelling against heavy handedness policing by colonial troopers on the gold fields who carried out unfair on spot gold digging license checks this ultimately ended up in said rebellion occurring that lead to an all out late night/early morning skirmish between the miners, and colonial troopers who were backed up by British red coat soldiers end result saw the arrested miners acquitted of all charges and given equal rights as well as more affordable gold license fee's

Did 2 loads of washing this morning managed to get outside driveway grass cut as well as front lawn so it looks more respectable my original plan to install 2 radios into the Tucson went down the drain as I couldn't locate it's firewall grommet so I've booked for all 3 radios and touch screen media player/radio to be installed by CSE crosscom Mount Gambier on 8th of next month

In the mean time I've got a temporary improvised mount setup for my UHF handheld using an mobile phone cradle stuck into place using Velcro strips when its in the car connected to a roof mounted magnetic base/antenna

sorry, not moseyin' through the comments here, you guys sure are busy.
@LadyLocust I don't remember you mentioning DMSO and epsom salts for arthritis, or was it for sciatica?
I've noticed that sometimes when I use the @ and then start typing someone's name, frequently the name will NOT pop up. off to bed soon.
Cat had a rough day. She did finally start eating. Got some ortho therapy helps coming for her in the next few days. She feels well enough to antagonize the dog a little.

Try putting some vicks (not sure what its called there?) on the area, and apply a hot water bottle. It relaxes the muscles around the area, and won't cure, but might ease it. Because of the pain you may be tensing, making it worse. (in my case anyway!)
Today is an early online meeting, then study for a while. Yesterday was filing papers and realised I have two boxes of stuff that needs sorting - newspaper cuttings, some of my deceased mothers stuff. Not sure what to do with it. I want to throw it out, but feel bad because she kept stuff for 50 years. hate the guilt 🤣

Going to put the rest of the trusses up today and get the roofing on. If the ground isn't frozen too deep I'll try pulling the trees and brush out of the area where phase 2 of the building is going. I won't be able to start construction on it this winter though but it'll be nice to get the area cleared out anyway.
It's supposed to snow tomorrow through Monday. We're going shopping down south tomorrow, hope we can beat the snow. We usually take the small trailer with a couple coolers, not to keep stuff cold but to keep it from freezing.

They think she has a kidney infection.
I hope she feels better soon!

I'm glad that she is eating, now!

I've already walked.
The rest of the day will be spent making and packaging banana breads. I call it National Banana Bread Day!

got up late must have been tired
took care of animals in between rain and wind, put the sheep out while it was not pouring for an hour or so, cleaned their barn area, put them back in, and yes, as soon as it started pouring again, they were standing by the gate looking sad and ran back in the barn without me even putting grain in there for them. The goats didn't even bother to go out at all ( they have access to outside all the time, the sheep pasture is across the street )
No Ranger ride for the little bucks either, they are staying in

cooking now, baking a huge chicken in the oven, this will be enough for at least 2 days meals plus maybe salad
No other plans for today

I didn't feel good last night so didn't get to sleep until after 1. Then slept in until 6. When I got up the fire was out and it was 62 degs in the living room and colder in the bedroom. Got a good fire going now but it'll take hours to get the temp up to 68 degs in here.
that's not too bad. I haven't made a fire yet today and it's high 50s in the house. Debating if I should make a fire....I might, or we will have no hot water for showers tonight

Same old Wednesday: workouts, hot tub, laundry, grocery deliveries, cleaning ladies, lunch and movie with the girl. The only out of the norm thing I did was go to the gun store before they opened to fondle the new Ruger RXM and then stopped to buy one of those little 6 pack refrigerators for the girl on behalf of her mother. I didn't even know they existed.

Had a check up yesterday with the Cancer Doctor.
I am still cancer free.
I came home and cried with relief, because i had several freckles change color and shape.
Did my blood work up too.
Blood pressure is coming down a little more.
Lost a bit more weight 5 pounds, probably 3.5 inches off my lower stomach and hips.
Started step 5 and 6 of BD exercises.
I still miss my Irishman.
But he will be home after the 21st December.
