Trash day, and sorting clothes for donation to Matthew 25. To cold outside for me, a delightful 2 degrees.
Trash day! Thanks for the reminder...that's another thing not getting done, we have trash from 2 weeks now sitting thereTrash day, and sorting clothes for donation to Matthew 25. To cold outside for me, a delightful 2 degrees.
I hope you have a good time together today!Lol, breakfast at Cracker Barrel is a hot date for us! It will be nice running errands together!!
Thank you very much!!I hope you have a good time together today!
Do you have a Tractor Supply store in your area? They usually have hydrant parts. You should be able to get a repair kit from TSC, or order it online.feeding the stoves, taking care of the animals, and trying to figure out how to get things done that need doing ( laundry, picking up prescription, get feed for the animals, mail , more wood)
Everything is a huge problem
Water line to do laundry is frozen solid, so I can either put buckets of water in the washing machine and try to do some, or do it by hand. Or drive somewhere. To drive anywhere we have to locate the snow chains we only used once here for the truck and put them on to drive about 1000 feet down the road, or if we get down, definitely to get back up it. Then we have to drive in 2 opposite directions by about 20 miles to pick up the prescription and get to the feed store. I suppose I can pay the bills over the phone and don't need the post office.
Son and husband have been cutting up trees that have been down for more wood, but it;s still pretty green.
Oh then there is the leaky hydrant in the barn, not sure if husband and son can fix this, we have no parts and don't know where to get any either. This is a really huge problem. Anyone know where to get hydrant parts or how to install them? I looked online and didnt find exactly what we have
I couldn't agree more. Normally I'd like but...that seems like a weird reply. So I sent a hug because you've walked that path and I thank you.My thoughts will be with you @Mel Saying goodbye to a parent is never easy.
yes, we just have to get to itDo you have a Tractor Supply store in your area? They usually have hydrant parts. You should be able to get a repair kit from TSC, or order it online.
hope you feel better soon, this weather is no help. You probably have covid, we had that last spring after a trip and it sucked, and we were sick for a week and then coughed for a few moreApparently today I can't taste anything salty.
I hate this cold from hell. It won't go away.
I've lost my voice and I have to yell to be heard otherwise I have no aches anywhere and no fever and clear mucus.
I'm baffled with it
Unless you need to dig the hydrant up, you should be able to pull the guts out through the top and replace the leaking parts. Have you tried adjusting the nut on the top under the handle first? Sometimes they will slip and not allow the plunger to seat and shut off the flow.yes, we just have to get to it
the stupid thing is concreted into the floor of part of the barn, that doesn't help it any
but thank, will ask if they have this
This happens to ours from time to time. Right now I have one leaking, which does keep it from freezing up, but made a mess where we have to step, so I put a hose on it. Nothing is thawing around here for awhile.Unless you need to dig the hydrant up, you should be able to pull the guts out through the top and replace the leaking parts. yes, we have been doing that for years LOLUnless you need to dig the hydrant up, you should be able to pull the guts out through the top and replace the leaking parts. lol, we tried that ( putting a hose on it) but it just froze and then it leaked on the floorThis happens to ours from time to time. So gag....12 degrees out right now, and I need to go out for an hr or so for animal chores. The bundling up in layers begins
I think it depends on where you live. When I first tried to sign up I got right through to a real person. I decided to wait a few months and she called me back. No problems here.has anyone ever tried calling social security? I have been on hold for an hour ( have it on speaker phone) and nothing. I have tried several times to use the online system, but all I get is " we cannot process your request at this time, try again later "
I just want to find out how much money I will get in a few years . I have tried this several times over the last year or so and I get the same message every time, so I called.....does this agency even really exist? Starting to wonder....
maybe it's because I am not old enough yet to get anythingI think it depends on where you live. When I first tried to sign up I got right through to a real person. I decided to wait a few months and she called me back. No problems here.
It's always a challenge for me to fill my herby-curby once a week. I mean I don't have near that much trash on a regular bases. Lately though, with my house cleaning and organizing.... I've been doing better about getting my moneys worth. Today I'll get it at least half full for pick up tomorrow.Trash day! Thanks for the reminder...that's another thing not getting done, we have trash from 2 weeks now sitting there
They did away with that years ago. It's all on their website now.maybe it's because I am not old enough yet to get anything
but, I remember getting some sort of statement in the mail once a long time ago in Florida telling me how much I would potentially get if I keep working and earning what I did , but I didn't ( keep working) so now I have no idea and would like to know.
