ok, what should I have gotten instead then? I need an antibiotic for emergencies that I can use for injuries, giving to moms if I have to pull babies , pneumonia . Those are usually the things I need it for, but not often enough to waste over $60 on a small bottle of Nuflor
( the stuff I have was cheap)

I think I will ask someone at the vet school. I know a few people there , just to see
I would ask at the vet school! I would a few opinions! Liquamycin is great, but loses potency.

Did the shopping this morning. The wife got a new combination toaster over and air fryer for Christmas, so I'm taking an old toaster over and air fryer to the donation trailer. Need to clean out space where ever I can.

Last night I started our taxes, everything is done except one 1099-INT from an insurance company, they send us a bill, then send us a 1099 showing interest, my mother-in-law created this mess in the 1960s and it is a never ending battle, that company is always late sending the 1099, rant over.. :)

I am hearing from multiple sources (NIH, DOT, EPA...) that OMB has taken a pause from sending out any contractual funds and reviews are taking place of any awards in process. It is only a matter of time before the press starts stirring these actions to the top of our screens.

Great layout Neb! I wish I had room for one. All I have is a 3ft piece of flex track I use for testing. I do have a PA1 and PB1 in N scale but no N track so never touched it in 5-6 years. Maybe someday. I got a deal on 3 EMD E8/9 A's and now I see why. Maybe 50's-60's with two motors each, 2 are complete 3rd one parts, and who ever put them together did a really poor job. I broke one down last night and the more I unsoldered the more I saw wrong. Oh well, just more time. From what I see, I'm no expert, looks like a Tenshodo kit. I also have an EMD 7? A and B units I'll get to some time. Social Security is really bugging me! I see on the web about pay dates changing. My SS down yesterday so figured they made the changes but went back this morning and still says I get paid on the 3rd of each month. Crossing my fingers! If it changes I get it on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. That sucks.

lol, I need to look again at what I actually got!!! I am not even sure I got tetracycline !!!

but wait, Liquamycin is LA200!! That's what I used before....maybe we got our antibiotics mixed up....
ok I looked at what I got again " Biomycin" , expires the end of 2026

LOL the stuff is made in Germany just a few miles from where I used to live. I have a friend that works there ( Boeringer)

Winding it down for the day!! Got firewood in the house, took Bear for a walk, all critters fed! We piddled around in town longer than we wanted to, so we will work on cutting firewood tomorrow! Beautiful day, 64°, cold front coming tonight, 40's tomorrow, nice day to cut and split!!

This fall, I had blood clots removed from my lungs, a clot filter put in, gall bladder surgery and heart issues. Also some blood problems, very low hemoglobin. You would think I am getting old but I won't be 77 until March. lol

Today I went out and started my old work van. It had been sitting since August and it started right up.

Today I changed the grease in the wife's stand mixer, unplugged the septic again, and worked on the chicken coop project. Not much more I can do until the 1×12's arrive. I'm going to the dump tomorrow so I started loading the truck. It might take two trips.
High temp was around 22 degs. Supposed to cool off some more tomorrow.

I don't know where the day went. Got nothing added to the tax stuff, didn't clean , didn't get more starter firewood, nothing.
Every day a new problem. Now it is warm enough to start the stupid Ranger, now it has a flat tire. The tire has already been fixed once so probably need a new one. We have a spare on a rim already, but it turns out, it is the wrong size and nobody noticed when we got it until husband put it on today. It's too wide , not working.
Then the guys started to cut up one of the fallen trees, and the chainsaw broke. It's 9 years old, we got it when we moved here but still annoying.
The firewood person that was supposed to bring us some didn't make it either. He now is supposed to come tomorrow. I am starting to think he is not going to at all, it's already been put off 3 times
I did manage to order some seeds for the garden ( that will probably be frozen solid until April ...)

A buddy said he has to drive the several hours to Idaho (we're in WArsington) to empty a storage unit. He has a monster trailer he was going to use, so he could cut trips down to one, but found out some dirtbag swiped ONE of the side racks. As such, he wanted to know if I could cut a sheet in half length-ways.

Told my buddy it was no problem to run a 4x8 sheet through the cabinet saw, BUT I'd been working a bunch of projects and the saw makes for one heck of a horizontal surface, so it'd take a portion of the day just to clean up, which I really needed to do anyway.

In true "oh, look at that other shiny thing" fashion, cleaning the top of the saw off meant finishing, at least somewhat, a few other projects. That included:

(1) a couple unique wine stoppers (they have skirts - the wood comes down over the cork, so you can't see it, when the stopper is on the bottle, but they needed another coat of lacquer);

(2) Since I had the can of lacquer open, the several ornaments hanging just above it got a third coat;

(3) Since I had to move the Wicked Edge knife sharpener inspired sharpening jig I'd made, I "just had to" install the small, rescued cabinet on top the office chair, roll-around base, put it in the cabinet, then set the actual Wicked Edge (40) on top, then roll it over by the door;

(4) To roll the W.E. cabinet to its spot by the door, I had to move the four LED shop lights over to where they'll replace fluorescent, four foot versions of the same;

(5) Got tired of ducking the 4" hose to the wood lathe, so added a second paracord line to create a better arc I can slip under and past;

(6) Put a whole bunch of this-es and thats away, or at least out of the way, moved the 3D printer so I could make the 2' wide cut. . . . ;

(7) Finally, made the cut.

Now I can get back to more cleanup/put away stuff.

We put a good friend in the ground today.

Two weeks ago I was walking with a walker. Today I put my cane in the corner.
Excellent, Rusty! Boy, you've had a long road of it.

We made pizzas, had those for dinner, and it was game night, so little granddaughter chose a new one I bought called What do I meme? She liked it. It was like Apples to Apples except with meme card photos.

Nice quiet relaxing day inside whilst the cats are having their usual 2 hour run around/stretch all the washing is out drying Monday is a public holiday due to Australia Day falling on a Sunday this year I've got a quick trip to make to Penola tomorrow morning as my mate brought 2 hamgeek handhelds so I could have my baofeng handheld back but the programming software he used yesterday to channelize both sets did everything backwards and not how he envisioned it would turn out

Seeing as how I've got the actual rt systems software for hamgeek apx-8000 handhelds I have offered to collect both sets from him bring them home program up and channelize them to his requirements then return them fully programmed next weekend on Saturday

Update: As result of the incoming weather conditions tomorrow a Total Fire Ban or as you fellow prepper peeps call it over in the states a Red Flag Alert has been declared for 6 of the 15 districts in South Australia along with 6 out of 9 districts in Victoria under a fire ban too including our neighboring areas of SW Victoria and Wimmera falling under it

Given these circumstances discussed with my mate in Penola about trying to transfer the rt systems programming software via email from one computer to the next however this didn't so i went ahead and purchased an update version of it using a lil bit of money from what was left in my holiday account as I've still got roughly 10 months to save up enough and forwarded on the serial number to him for downloading onto his computer

After a few text messages and a couple of phone calls later he got the program working now so saves me having to go out in dangerous fire weather tomorrow allowing to prepare at home incase something does crop up

Spent yesterday getting ready for new schedule. We had planned to make casseroles but the wife was feeling poorly, so for the first time I stewed and deboned the chickens on my own, then I screened and collected 4 gallons of chicken stock. Wife talked of making chicken noodle soup, I like that idea in principal, I just don't feel like making it myself...

I had ordered a new suite jacket and it arrived yesterday, "missed it by that much", buttons wouldn't reach, reordered 4 inches larger.... :(

Last night the wife remembered an important ingredient that one of the casseroles needs, so at 06:00 I will go pick that up.

Mapped out the new work schedule, 04:00 get up, out the door by 05:00 return home ~ 18:00, eat, get ready to repeat, call it a night by 20:30. Funny thing is with this new mandated work schedule I will actually be spending less time working due to the 3 1/2 hours commuting. Expenses go up but the pay is the same for now... I think it may time to start the retirement countdown clock...

Today, I need to clean the kitchen, finish the 8 casseroles, finish the laundry, do church, take down the house Christmas lights (assuming the snow is gone), pack up my computer, make my lunch for tomorrow, and try to hit the sack by 20:30.

We both finally have the congestion out of our chests. Now I just have a stuffy head. taking a decongestant. Feeling much better. Just over 2 weeks to get rid of the chest congestion.

Apparently the pipe from the kitchen drain to the septic froze when we had -17 windchills and air temps of single digits for the week last week..
So we have to work on that now . Have to crawl under the house to wrap some heat tape around the pipe to thaw it out and to keep it from freezing again. (and of course the pups will be there supervising in our faces lol)
We have one on the outside spigot that keeps the water flowing out there for the dog's heated water bucket.
I'll have to do some dishes in the laundry sink since its not frozen.
Thank goodness none of the toilets or the shower froze

I wonder if we will get some firewood today....
other than maybe dealing with that ( putting it up) , animal care and I had a thought laste night. Maybe the tire will fit on the back of the Ranger. It rubs against the front shocks , but the back is slightly different so I will need to see
Son asked if he can do laundry today. Not sure it is not still frozen, but it is supposed to warm up some today. But it was supposed to yesterday also and really did't. Just hovered just below freezing
I need to clean at some point and continue taxes

Going to the dump later this morning. Then I may start splitting firewood. I've got about a cord of big logs to split that I'll have to pick up with the tractor. They've been buried in the snow and ice all winter. Hopefully the wood splitter will start.

Keeping the dog in for awhile, just saw the fifth buggy go down our road in front of our house, so I'll also have to watch him about 1:30 as well. Someone around here has church today it looks like, and it starts at 9am. So not too far from here.
Just doing stuff around here today. Zoom call this afternoon with daughter in rehab. She visited with her sis in person yesterday, will zoom us today, and goes home probably tomorrow. She's been looking pretty good.
Animal chores yet to do, more wagons of wood to bring up. Husband's breakfast and getting him ready for the day. I slept in an hr! Little granddaughter will be cleaning a large coop this afternoon.

It's our last day of work in California. We have 1 switch left to do and tomorrow we'll head to Phoenix. Tuesday will be my only day of work there. I fly home Wednesday morning and then I'm going to a different gang that never goes further from home than Pueblo, Colorado. I'll start that gig on Friday or Saturday. It works a Tuesday to Tuesday schedule like the gang I'm on, but it works the opposite days - when the gang I'm leaving is working, the gang I'm going to is on their days off.
