@Neb Started another dreaded chore this afternoon… socket sets. Dad was a tool and die maker, had all sorts of specialty socket sets, some he made. I had quiet a few specialty sets from my line of work. Then there were the normal sets, dad had several. My sets were large, short/deepwell, metric/std, 1/4 drive thru 1”. We managed to keep them organized for a lot of years until dad and I both had health issues. They’ve been a disaster for several years now. Scattered throughout the 4 bay shop, in vehicles and the tool room in the house.

This afternoon I started putting sockets in a bucket, then a 2nd bucket and a 3rd. I had 5 gallons of sockets, fewer than I thought there were actually. Got them soaking in de-greaser now. Then they’ll get a good washing. Next comes a long soak in gasoline. Then I can start organizing them, fun, fun, fun!

took the dog to the vet ( Axel) and he doesn't have an injury, he has lyme disease and that is affecting a joint in he injured before. The really bad things is he might also have kidney failure if the Lyme has been there for a while. Vet gave me antiobiotics and meloxicam
I hope he gets better, he is not eating at all, not even eggs, or canned dog food which they love and eat in a few seconds. He had a 104 temp at the vets, that's way high for a dog
So much for the hundreds of $ I spent on Bravecta. What good is it if they get Lyme anyways?

Got home and gave the sheep their CDT shots, at least something got done. It's a little late but still better than nothing, should have done it last week, but didn't get the vaccine till today

Today, I completed the task of cleaning out the storage area. It took quite a bit of time to sort through everything and organize the items. Now that it’s tidy, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. To wrap up the day, I plan to spend the rest of my time hauling the trash to the dump. It’s important to clear out unwanted items and make space for things that I actually use. Hopefully, this will create a more organized and serene environment moving forward.

Came in for lunch and fell asleep. The sun is out now. What a beautiful day here. I think I'll refuel the snowblower and just park it in the shop and call it a day. I felt like I was coming with something last night.
Maybe now you'll take my advice (that I didn't spell-out clearly) and say FTW.... relax and take care of yourself.

Well, I did kinda. I refuled the snowblower, did a little maintenance on it and put it away. I'm sitting next to the wood stove warming up right now. It started snowing a couple hours ago but I don't think it's going to amount to much, we did get a foot last night and this morning though. We're suppose to have good weather starting tomorrow through Thursday, highs in the teens and 20's and lows single didgets and below zero. Two or three more days and the road should be drivable. I can pick up my lumber in town and get back to work again.

All 6 men got the job in Kansas City Mo.
My Irishman is buying a house in my area.
Somewhere between Kansas City Mo and me.
Oh boy.
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
I have a funny looking brace type thing on my right shoulder.
I fell a few days ago, been in the hospital.
I tripped over the Irishman's work boots in the middle of the night.
I have been wondering where you have been, haven't seen you post in a while!! So sorry you got injured, hope it's better now!
( I just did something stupid too, ripped of some of my toe nail taking off socks, how in the world I did that I have no idea)
Hope you had nice holidays too
Sonya,
I work part time reading cold, cold case files and such.
I have been off here doing some research for one of those cases.
Something didn't make sense, so myself and one other MP(retired) went checked out the actual crime scene.
When we finished our field work, went back to office, went back over orginal report, we found the mistake.
I am sure glad I don't have to be in crime scene pits any longer especially in extreme heat or frigid cold.
Now the younger generation of officers have to prove us wrong.
Good luck with that.

No, you would not see me on TV.
I usually work behind the scenes.
I am retired Military Police Officer, but read all sorts of cold cases files of police reports etc.
That's what I went to school for and I enjoy it for the most part.

A relaxing weekend for me after a busy Friday night shift of course that was once again compounded by the contractor's payroll staff not paying us on Friday night as required 😒🤬🤬 this time around instead of giving them till today (Saturday) I messaged my employment consultant expecting him to reply on Monday lo and behold not more than 5 minutes after sending the text through he replied and isn't a happy chappy

Given the trolley collection and retrieval contract is very close to being up for tender I wouldn't be surprised if woolies terminates the current Adelaide based contractor's contract after yet another failure to pay on time as they have been talking about dissolving that one singular role of trolley/basket collection and integrating us workers into the Woolworths staff whilst still retaining our original job but at same time undertaking additional instore roles on request

Pulled a load of turkey, broccoli and chopped garlic out of the freeze dryer and bagged it up... Just a note, freeze dried garlic concentrates the good stuff so careful just munching on a couple pieces like I did.
I stopped by the lumber store and found some pieces of oak for the 11 year old in the house to make some book marks out of.. He is going to wood burn some designs on them and give them as valentines day gifts.

@Mountain trapper , I hope you are feeling a bit better today!
I fell a few days ago, been in the hospital. @MoBookworm1957 , I hope your shoulder heals quickly and completely!
I hope he gets better,
Hoping Axel gets better with the meds he is on!

I will be baking refrig. cinnamon rolls in a few minutes for funeral breakfast at Church. Have to have them there at 7AM.
After that mission is completed, I will walk and then walk dogs.

Depends on the weather.
same here!

Debating on who is going out and not it's sort of raining but not much
So today animal care, and bringing in more firewood for the next snow storm that is supposed to come Monday or Tuesday
Hope the dog is better today. I shoved some antiobiotics and pain pill down him, he still did not want to eat. GOing to make him some liver today. If he doesn't eat that he really does not want to eat

Wondering how you've been shuffling it all, Tommyice. That's one of the reasons I retired when I did, so difficult to run home and take care of husband and deal with the school for ten hrs a day. Even though we lived a mile away. It was exhausting.
Outdoor work this morning, need more wood wagoned up to the big porch, and the inside restocked, too. Probably will recruit little granddaughter and Levi to help. Will put little granddaughter on rabbit cage cleaning today and a sweep out of the milkhouse rooms. I'll put in some more time in food storage. Tonight is game night, and husband wants a special dinner and a special dessert made, so I'll be in the kitchen a bit late afternoon.
