Changing oil in my Jeep, topped off the day tank in the generator building, drove the side by side down to the mailbox. Struggled a little bit going down but bearly made it back home. We won't be going anywhere for awhile.

Ouch on the hernia stuff, Hashbrown. Husband had that done a number of yrs back and it went ok.
Make some homemade barbeque sauce with no high fructose corn syrup (ha) and it's in the canner. Did seven pints, and it tastes pretty good.

He had belly button surgery, so it was easy peasy. Just drowsy and in recovery half a day. Couldn't lift for a few weeks. But it depends on how bad your hernia is.

my friend that used to live down the road here had that done too, and she felt really bad for about a week and actually passed out after she got home. And she wasn't old maybe around 40 then? So you better rest a lot! I think she was trying to do stuff and shouldn't have

random weird question: how do you listen to music? Do you still have an Ipod? if not, what do you use? I am asking because I still have an ipod and it still works, but the computer that has the Itunes on it no longer works and I think you can't get Itunes anymore, so I have no way to upload any new music. Once the Ipod breaks, not sure what to do. I don't carry my phone around with me, and it's too big, and I don't have enough space on it for music since I use the camera for photos
Can you still buy cheap MP3 players and do they work? How do you get music on them?

Technolgy sucks! just when you figure out how to use something, they make something new, and what you just learned is now obsolete!!

Get a couple of USB Flash Drives and transfer Your Pics from the Phone to them... You can easily connect it back to the phone to Show those to anyone.. Can even transfer to Your PC... You can transfer them to Your PC from the Phone with the Charging Cord if that Plug is Un-attachable...

Unfortunately we don't listen to music much here at home. Our iPods don't work anymore and we can't receive an AM station, and we bearly get one FM station.
We have Cirrus satellite radio in both our Jeeps. We like the satellite radio, except for all the talk. They like to claim that the music channels are commercial free, but the stupid DJs talk a lot.
I'd like to find some way to get music without sitting on the computer for hours downloading music.

My new battle with corporate America.

Wifes phone stopped working in the house for the last 4 days! Is ok away from the house! Her phone has an SOS next to the signal strength icon. Went to Verizon 2x. Yesterday they recommended a new phone and the new plan. Got her an iphone 16. Got home ... NADA! Then spent 2 freakin hours on the phone with Verizon. No resolution. They tell us to go back to Verizon store today to return the phone and straighten it out. My phone works just fine, so it isn't anything here at the house.

It's hammer time. My patience is over. After 20 years with Verizon, I may cancel the whole damned thing and go with another pathetic carrier.

Have had similar problems with Verizon in the last several months.

@Hooch a little similarities in the love and collection of stones, rocks, fossils. I love it all. Watched an interesting program a few times where they were going in secretive and deep to where there were some exquisite precious gems, looked tropical! Another time where these guys were going in to a place and using some explosives, probably in Utah, very dry and barren looking.
That is on my bucket list of things I want to do, not necessarily with explosives, but to just get out there and find some awesome stones. Also watched the family that "owns" land in Utah or Nevada and they mine it for turquoise. Sapphires in Montana...supposed to be a couple places in Texas to dig on someone's property and then the places out to the southwest of Texas.
Unfortunately I started collecting beads and make bracelets and anklets now. For myself because I know what I like and the size.
Dear me, @sonya123 good luck with the new puppy! Good luck with the lambs! We need photos of them to get us out of the winter doldrums!!!
I had daffodils blooming in the yard a couple days before the big freeze.

If it's already flooding now, wait until we get some real warm weather. It's been snowing up here all day, a wet heavy snow. I can't use the snowblower with wet snow because it'll just plug up the discharge chute. We have probably 5 - 6 feet of snow on the ground right now. It's too early for it to start melting off right now. I'm hoping that we get some more cold weather, but according to the forecast it looks like we have a warm up coming our way. High temp was 33 today.
My night vision isn't too bad and many times I prefer to drive at night. Just have to watch out for deer, elk and cows on the road.
I think that bridge south of town (Cottonwood cr?) was replaced a few years ago and the bridge north of town and both bridges north of the mill have been replaced within the last few years too.

Yes I think we'll see some flooding n that's good to know about the bridges..

Here it is, 8:15 pm. Just got off the phone with Verizon - AGAIN. She seems to have fixed the problem!!! Hooray! Let's see if it lasts. This after 2 visits to the Verizon store today!!!!!!

i asked this question awhile back and i try and dig up those old posts....i was looking at a device...i dont know what its called...but its was a sports model so it could take some rain and being knocked around that held music..but i have to see if i can find it again..it was on ebay.

We got little granddaughter an MP3 player recently. She listens to radio and has all our old music CD's on a boom box in her room. I have a record player in the front room with tons of records. Mostly I just have my laptop open in the kitchen and listen to music using youtube.

I made sure husband was comfortable, had what he wanted, waved to the neighbor, got the animals taken care of and made sure the geese were awesome (they are), made and canned some bbq sauce, finished my Annie Berdel book, and really ate too much dinner but still had ice cream after. I use Bluetooth and stream it. I'm too much of a cheapo to pay for Spotify or YouTube Music, but the free versions are good enough for me. I just listen to the commercials too.

I don't listen to that much music at home, mostly I listen in the car, and I'm not sure if newer cars even have inputs for iPods or MP3s anymore. I don't think my truck does, but my old RAV4 and my Corolla have AUX inputs. The Rav4 is so old it's not Bluetooth capable, so I bought a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the AUX jack and it sounds pretty good. As long as the jack keeps working, I'll have tunes...

Going to be a great day, an awesome day! I got a lot done outside yesterday afternoon, beautiful day!! Another one on tap! Going to my regular Tuesday job, then a quick run through Walmart. Hubby is home today, finished a big job early yesterday. He is cutting and splitting firewood while watching for snakes, lol!

yesterday we took care of the animals . I clean the barn, he dumps the wheelbarrows. I fill up the water buckets, he puts them where they go mostly ( I do the closer ones) . I feed the grain, he gets wheelbarrows of hay for them.
I cook, do dishes, he takes out garbage and brings in firewood. So I have no idea how you do all that by yourself....
Oh, he fixed some broken fence pieces too yesterday while I took Otto for a hike and collected starter wood

today we need to go shopping. Hope there are no problems with the sheep while we are gone. We are going to leave them in the barn and go early so I can still call the vet if there is a problem, but hopefully not. The most likely problem we usually have with the sheep having lambs is rejects. They have more than one or 2 and they don't want to feed them. I have colostrum replacer and milk replacer since it is just about impossible to milk these sheep. I also have some frozen goat colostrum from last year I can use.

so we are going to get our taxes, go to the Asian store to stock up ( right down the road from the tax people) , TP to get propane and some more fence pieces ( the little plastic pieces that attach to wood or t posts and hold the electric in place, not sure what they are called) , Aldi and probably walmart for some stuff Aldi doesn't have
