New Year's Eve on the country station. Eric Church and Chris Stapleton were good. Could do without Jelly Roll. Little granddaughter is annoyed with his pseudo Christian songs. The dog has had too many rumaki. He's running it off in the front yard.

I had to stop watching this movie after this scene. It was an awesome scene, but I got so uncomfortable after it, that I stopped watching the movie. Oooff. Let me know if I should watch the rest of this movie. (I might have posted about this before; it just came up in my youtube feed last night for some reason.)

Unless I was interested in fully studying WWII on my own there is a lot I didn't know about it. I watched Number 24 yesterday and find it worthy of mention. Even @Sourdough would like this one. I'm bad at describing things but here is a very brief description from online:
On the brink of the Second World War, a young Norwegian man's drive to resist the Nazis sets a new course for his future – and the future of his country.
Not only was it a "good" movie, great acting, new to me and different looking actors (real people), but it was based on a true story that is being retold to a large group of teens in Norway by the author (an actor) of the book, Number 24.
I found it on Netflix.

Watched Bonhoeffer last night, and watched The Six Triple Eight tonight. Both were good

A pastor that I know who was in a study about Bonhoeffer didn't care for the movie. I heard someone else say that it was more about him being a Nazi hunter than a man of Christ.

Would you believe I still haven’t gotten my little rinky dink DVD player hooked up? Apparently I’m needing other cords, plugs, connections, etc. that I misplaced from disconnecting the one that no longer works. It looks different than what I use at work. Yes, I have to occasionally watch DVDs at work, but not for my entertainment, to check for damages.
Anyway, Number 24 has value. It is something that today’s kids, young adults, so many, need to be reminded of! This is why we fight!!!
The “WHY RESIST” topic is brought up at the very beginning, the actor seems to have an inner strength, a commanding presence, he’s pretty awesome. Watch every bit of it. It is weird to consider that my own father was just a kid when he went to war, in Europe, 18 years old.

Just came in from working outside. Right now I'm watching the sun go down over the mountains. It was a beautiful day here.

I saw part of a movie last weekend that was absolutely hysterical, so funny. I missed the first 30min. So at first I wasn’t sure if this was meant to be serious, that made it funnier!!!

Its recent, shot in 2022. Had brad pitt and several other actors whose faces I recognized but their names escaped me. The title is ‘Bullet Train’. The plot, a bunch of killers/assassins, very bad people, were conned onto this train in japan by a super villain. They are all trying to get and keep a suitcase independent of each other. Then they start killing each other… or trying too… soooo funny! (the super V wants them to kill each other)

The humor was basic which I liked, but very twisted which I also like, and always surprising, not at all predictable. Imagine ‘Shawn of the Dead’ being re-shot as ‘Murder on the Orient Express’!!!

Brad Pitt isn’t an assassin, he’s sort of there by mistake, a stand-in for someone who couldn't be there. A low-life thug with no morals yes, but he’s going through an identity crises. Sandra bullock is his life coach in contact throughout the movie by phone. Yes… it’s twisted!

Anyway, I want to see the whole movie, even if I have to buy the dvd. I didn't think brad pitt could do comedy, I was wrong... he was very funny.

Don't watch much tv, but Wednesday nights is The Alienist, followed by an episode of Yellowstone. Both great shows.
