I was Navy (Never Again Volunteer Yourself).. I should have remembered that!I learned from my Army time to NEVER VOLUNTEER, only dead heros are real heros...give you thumbs up and best of luck from us though!! Gary
R.I.P.I personally decided to get it, as I have underlying health conditions, and I was (as a government worker volunteering at the Disneyland Point of Distribution), eligible to get it early. I decided to get it because I intend to start travelling and it will most likely be a requirement to do so. I initially thought I would wait and see, but after having some family members and friends get the virus, I changed my mind. I guess I will be a guinea pig for ya'll... I got the Moderna, in case anyone cares.
My wife gets her first phizer vaccine tomorrow morning and I get my first one on Friday. I don’t know which one I’ll be getting yet. I am so ready to start taking some trips right now. So, about three weeks between shots, and about three more for the immune system to kick in and I’m out of here for some fun. It’s been a long year since this virus changed the world. I’m ready to go see what’s left of the world.....
You can't travel without the shot? I don't understand the connection. We still travel anywhere we need or want to go.My wife gets her first phizer vaccine tomorrow morning and I get my first one on Friday. I don’t know which one I’ll be getting yet. There aren’t any laws that I know of against it but with my and my wife’s health issues I don’t think it would be wise. Odds are if either of us got the virus we would survive, but the odds of having a mild case after the vaccine are greatly increased so it makes sense for us. If I was thirty and in perfect health I wouldn’t feel the same though. You can't travel without the shot? I don't understand the connection. We still travel anywhere we need or want to go.
I think the evidence is still pretty scarce on it causing the blood clots but have no problem with halting and investigating. It’s better to be safe than sorry. If I was young and healthy I might consider not getting the vaccine. But with age and health issues the statistics say it’s much safer to take it than not.lots of countries in Europe, I think about 12 at last count, have stopped the AZ jab because of blood clots.
