Abbott has done more than most governors. It was his idea to start bussing illegals to sanctuary cities to spread the problem around a bit.

He put these, in the Rio Grand,

Then the courts said he had to take them out. The State appealed and got a stay, so the buoys are still in place. They are also building a razor wire wall.

They passed legislation (house bill 7) that made it a crime in Texas to cross the border into Texas anywhere but a port of entry, created a border police force with arrest powers, funded by 100 million, which would also create new detention centers.....

He has done a lot. Texas does not have the pocketbook that DC has. So far we have spent 10 billion of our own tax revenue.

Now, Biden is trying to pass a cross in Texas, stay in Texas law. No other Governor has been attacked by the Feds on this issue as much as Texas because no other border state is taking this issue on as hard.

15 gaurd per mile is plenty enough. There not pouring in through terrain like like that. The guard are already funded. Texas would get more than enough money and resources from donations.

You know what would help tremendously is if the OTHER non border state governors would do their part in catching the illegals that cross their borders into their States! What are your governors and congresses doing to combat it? Texas is not the only state with border sovereignty.

Most of them like to run their mouths when it is politically expedient for them and then do absolutely nothing about it. They sit around with their thumbs up their butts and expect the feds to do something while preaching to the choir about how state's rights are being violated all sorts of areas. Here is an opportunity to push back and none of them are doing it. To them, illegal immigration really is just a campaign slogan.

Like him or lump him Abbott (and Paxton) is pushing the boundaries of State's rights on multiple fronts (firearms and this BS sex agenda in schools being others) and using the courts to set precedent for other states to follow and they have blown the opportunity. Abbott has done more than any other governor on this issue.

You cannot use all of the guards, they have other duties like hurricane preparedness' and wildfire back up (we just had 3000 acres burn near Davy Crockett NF about two weeks ago). So take that number and cut it by half. Border milage is calculated as the crow flies and excluded the elevation changes.

I get it. You want us/the guard to just start shooting, but, why is it that the other states, cities and towns with illegals invading them, haven't done so? There is a reason if you think about it instead of reacting emotionally.

This is a nation wide issue. The effort and responsibility should not just be on Texas' part which is kind of the point Abbott is making by bussing them out and spending our tax money to fight the feds in court!

Doubtful. He just made it illegal for cites, towns, or counties to outlaw the sale of ICE vehicles, tractors, lawn mowers etc. How very "green" and anti-free market of him. Believe what you will but, his actions say otherwise.

So what does that make the governors who are doing nothing? Are they all WEF's too since they are all ignoring the problem completely other than the obligatory re-election lip service?

Years ago, I was invited and went to a wedding attended by Colin Powell, Bill and Hillary, numerous Senators, 4 star generals, admirals and other government officials. It was in an Episcopal church. Doesn’t make me a DC insider, or an Episcopalian.

I spoke with many of them, just to see if they were as snooty as I figured. Yep. Would I talk to them again if I thought I could get any information that might give me advanced warning of the timing of SHTF? You bet I would. They could be useful in my goals. Doesn't mean I agree with their personal beliefs or their agendas; I still have not turned into an Episcopalian.

Abbott’s response of “Listen, I’m not a globalist. I’m a Texas First and America First person.” And “I promote Texas and America.” Coupled with his actions in office, tell me that is exactly what he is doing. Opposition research and using them to further his Texas first based agenda.

I was just passing the Twitter clip along which I'm sure most of you have seen anyway. I have mixed feelings about it. I agree Abbott has done things, and could do more, as well as other border states, I also think he leans toward donar money support..(like most, if not all) I don't see why he can't realistically involve the nat'l guard. Sending to other states is fine but doesn't solve the original entry means to begin with and still doesn't help the country. It needs to stop period...and all need to join forces to make that a priority...from top down or bottom up. It's growing and soon there will be too many holes to plug if we don't get a handle on it. The dems and the POS in WH selling out our country need to go outta here with them!

Bottom line, nobody is making headway with this problem....amazing how the illegals still pass in droves as they do (from over 100 countries?)..., the cartels still do what they do (as they please, to whom they please), and the good old US of A can't seem to get a handle on any of it Boggles the mind!

It is definitely a problem. Texas alone though can't fix it and obviously, the feds aren't interested. exa The other states are needed to send the message to south/central America, don't come here. Right now, they think if they can get across the border, and out of Texas, then they have a passport to the rest of the US. The other states better stand up or this is all for naught.
