Well this new time sucks for sure....i need to adjust myself so i have time in evenings for at least a short hike....its only getting darker earlier daily now.
I took Bear for a woods walk before dark! The three outside cats and Burberry the deer came with us! We are all in earlier and Bear wants to get up earlier! But anyhow, we gotta make time for walks!!

glad yall got out in the forest....i have lots to do this week in various gardens and forestry work to do and get finished before winter sets in for good .
 
Well this new time sucks for sure....i need to adjust myself so i have time in evenings for at least a short hike....its only getting darker earlier daily now.
I just ignore it and go to sleep and wake up when I usually do. It only causes problems when we go somewhere that has a time attached ( like club meeting next Saturday) , then I have to pay attention
 
i feel a fast coming on this week....probably tomorrow...i feel sluggish and a bit 'toxic' so i think i need to fast...not done that in awhile now. i always feel better afterwards...even just doing intermittent fasting will help....pass the lip clamp sonya !!.....lol

I've had a lot of bad back/nerve pain this weekend. I have not wanted to eat! That's really serious for ol' Pearl, she never misses a meal! Lots of water, half a banana last night is pretty much all I've had.....made bacon for Hubby this morning and had two pieces, that perked me up! Hopefully my unintentional fast did some good!! Best part, I have no desire for beer!!
 
didnt get free till end of the day....i thought i just give in...then my brain said dont do it...so i kicked myself in rear and hustled off to trail late and done it...had a good time and got back to truck right at dark....i tell ya heavy cloud cover and it was dark at 5.30pm here for sure..done ok...last bit back to truck i could feel it and leg tried to 'catch' but i stopped and finished up ok and feel decent.
 
week 20 day 2

made the dumplings, fried most, put the ones that didn't fit in the pan in the soup, made some eggrolls with the leftover filling. Awesome meal, we ate every last bit of it....probably not good for the diet but I did ok the rest of the day and just had some oatmeal later with fruit

I took Otto for a hike late too, I ignore the time change pretty much , but yeah it is getting dark so early now
 
week 20 day 6 and 7

today I am going to make chicken pot pie and rice soup

yesterday was a total cheat day, had way too many desserts at the meeting, and a large plate of goat, lamb and potatoes

Does anyone use Stevia ? I bought some to put in tea or coffee. I don't like artificial sweeteners but this is supposed to be natural from a plant , and we use way too much sugar in hot drinks so I want to try.
 
i tried stevia in a couple of drinks..cant recall what its been so long..probably tea....but anyhow i could tell my body didnt like it. not a reaction per say like to some things in past like msg..but just didnt like how i felt..maybe it was all in my head too....lol....theres my experience with it.

I use msg in a lot of food, no reaction to it, it's just a type of salt
( I like adding chicken boullion cubes to soup for example, it has msg, Korean gojujjang hot pepper sauce has it in it too plus some other Asian seasoning I have)
I guess I will see, didn't try it yet today, it's a large bag and I need to find something to put it in
Makes food taste better. I used to use Accent but haven't seen it for sale in a long time

i cant eat it...i got a big dose at a chinese restaurant several years ago pre c-19 and in not time flat i was hot as a fire cracker all over and hanging my head out truck window sucking air like dogs do. Swelled up some and skin was red.....craving water and more water...and no it wasnt salt...i eat salt in high volume and never does that.

its one reason i dont eat out...

I have never had any sort of reaction to it been eating it for most of my life

Trying the stevia now. It doesn't taste as good as sugar but ok

12 lbs to go, I think last time I weight myself it was 14, so progress!

today pesto pasta and I am going to try minestrone soup , never made that before , looked up Italian soup to go with the pasta and that's what I found, basically veg and tomato soup with a little pasta

having coffee with stevia...hmmmm...not sure I can get used to that aftertaste, taste like ALL the other non sugar sweeteners, like something I would rather not have, plus it makes my mouth dry? Not sure just weird. Oh well, a waste of $6 for a large bag that will probably never get used up. Anyone else use any sort of sweeteners that are not sugar?

I put sugar in my coffee and tea. I actually weight it a while ago and it comes out to about 300 calories a day. Thats enough to lose almost a pound a week if I cut out those calories, but I really don't like coffee or tea ( other than maybe green tea) without sugar. Honey has just as many calories as sugar
 
tpday's lunch was really good, here are the recipes if anyone is interested:

Minestrone soup: boil sliced carrots, celery , onion , garlic some kale,, chicken boullion cube until veggies are soft, add a can of diced tomatoes, Italien seasoning, cook a little while longer, add a handful of macceroni and cook until that's soft, add a can of white cannelli beans . Put parmesan cheese on top

pesto: basil leaves and I threw in a few cilantro leaves I had ( but that's not needed) , walnuts , olive oil, garlic, parmesan cheese, some of the pasta water , put in blender
put that on cooked spagetti

I found a way to tolerate the stevia, do half sugar half stevia

week 21 day 2

today I am going to make omlettes , potatoes and creamed spinach. Got some spinach at the store yesterday. I haven't made eggs in a while since we sell them but now the market is mostly over ( 1 Christmas one left) and we are starting to collect eggs again. We do have some people that buy them if we drop them off so it's really not a lot. I think we need more chickens!
 
Well i been really cutting back last bit....also adding in more broiled vegetables for bulk....my body was very hungry today...i could tell i was burning calories off my person....stepped on scales and already see a drop since last 3 days....work continues.
 
week 21 day 3

today making sushi and I did something scary...got fresh salmon from walmart for it. But it's from chile same as the salmon from Aldi.
I marinate it in lemonade and then smoke it, so no chance of getting ecoli/salmonella/listeria/plague/covid etc. Should be ok

plus miso soup with dumplings

made french onion soup yesterday
 
Still walking 4-5 miles a day, but weight hasn't changed in months. I guess i must be eating more, or better?
