@squirrelhunter How much deer can you take normally? My dad went hunting when I was a kid. My bro would go for rabbit and squirrel, pheasant. My husband found out he was allergic to rodents by skinning a rabbit. Lots of deer in my neighborhood and it is getting worse because the city let the builders clear cut big areas where the deer would hide. So they are “safe” in city limits and it is not a good situation.
Our State has weird regulations so that question is rather hard to answer. The Counties in our State each have their own
"Bonus" quantity and if we get the maximum in each County if we wanted to hunt them all it would total over 100 from what I hear. But here in my County we're allowed 1 buck and I believe up to 5 Does if we hunt with a regular gun, archery and a muzzle loader. Because of my health I can only hunt with a gun so I can only get 1 of each sex. I have a muzzle loader too which would give me 2 more Does but it's too cold in December. We also have Urban areas where we could get more and help urban areas out like you're talking about but since I'm not near any of the urban zones I'm not sure what their regulations are.

A few years ago, @squirrelhunter i came across info about which states had the highest rate of accidents involving deer. Texas was #1.
I hope you can get what you want with sure clean shots. I don’t even know most hunting laws here, I see dove season starts early September.
Thanks. I do my best to take clean shots. Until my health gets straightened out I won't be hunting anything.

I think I could swing that, I don't really drink much anymore but I don't mind a cold MGD once in awhile so I could pick up a 6 pack now and then. The last few times I bought any I wound up giving most of it away. It is too bad you're so far away. It looks like I might be missing all of my hunting this year too if they don't get me fixed up soon.
Do they still make MGD? I haven't seen any here in years! I loved that stuff, its the only thing Miller ever made I liked.

I am really sorry to hear your health is keeping you from doing things you want to do. I guess hunting might be sort of ambitious for a lot of people.
Ya gotchyer javelina, rabbits or hare any time of year, pronghorn, white tail, mule deer...all kinds of stuff here. I find it weird that rich guys buy up huge tracts of land to make it for hunting grounds.

I'm not really sure, I haven't bought any beer in a few years now but the last time I bought some they still had MGD here anyway. I'm sort of the same way, MGD is the only kind of beer I care for from any company.

As far back as I can remember I wanted to hunt long before dad would even let me.
I've often dreamed of being able to buy a big ranch in like Wyoming or Alaska or somewhere and turn it into a place I could be a hunting guide but it never happened.

Look what I found out back close to the tank and grape arbor, just what I need (sarcastic remark there) The dang thing is head high and only 10 yards from the house, the Mrs. is allergic to bees too.

Oh that's just nasty.

Seeing things like that keep me from bush hogging around my property borders. Saw my dad back one in against a bank at the house I grew up in. He must have saw it when he hit it. Kicked the tractor out of gear, jumped off and ran. Within a couple minutes our green Duetz was black, covered with hornets. They stayed there until dark. Tractor and bush hog ran at same throttle setting till then as well.

I have to be picky about what I drink, too much gluten and I'm sick for days.
Ever try Amstel, Stella Atrios or Michelob dark ?

The only ones of those I've even heard of is Michelob dark and I haven't tried any of them. I haven't drank much beer since the 80s. I'm sure things have changed a lot in 40 years.

My hornets problem is solved. I happened to think my neighbor has honey bee hives so I called him and he came and got it down. Ends up he has 7 other hornets nests hanging in his barn, this makes him 8. People sometimes come to him wanting 1 to use as a decoration or something.

Amstel is now owned by Heineken, and has always been Dutch. Stella Artois is Belgian, but the parent company is InBev who also owns Anheuser-Busch. Both are pretty good. Well worth trying. My wife is a big fan of Amber Bock, an Anheuser-Busch product. Not quite as heavy as Michelob Dark, and a little lighter in color. I would recommend it.

I rarely buy from those 11 companies. I buy strictly from microbreweries (if that is the term for them still). There is such a huge variety of beers available in the US now, and they are so much better (in my opinion) than any of the mass produced beers. I've become such a beer snob now, that I often turn down beers from the major producers...as in, I'd rather not drink a beer if that is all that is available; I'll have something else. Life is too short to waste your liver on bad beer!

I will add this: As I age, I try to go for quality, not quantity, when it comes to alcohol.

I spend more on each drink. I just try to drink fewer of them.
My studies have me believing med point alcohol for vanilla and other flavoring.
Top shelf for personal use.
Lower/cheaper for storage to barter with, that way you can store more for less.

I'm a beer snob myself, I don't drink but two American brands, Rolling Rock and Mickeys. I'd drink little kings but its no longer sold here. I'm getting into Amber bock and used to like Sam Addams but I haven't seen it in maybe two years.

I'm a beer snob myself, too.
I have never found one good enough for my taste buds, I am fine with you drinking it.
Just not me drinking it.

The remaining hornets are starting to build the nest again, it's time to get mean and nasty with 'em.
After what I just went through, multiple stings from yellow jackets... I did some research. Websites had them listed as the 6th most painful wasp sting in the world. They had white faced hornets at #7.

I beg to differ. I've experienced both many times. Hornets are definitely more painful than yellow jackets, and they are by no means a slouch.

So be careful, at least aviod multiple stings... I had 10 stings in an evening, they made me feel sick. (one was a honey bee)

I should just quit really. I buy a 12 pack, it sits there a month, I give the rest away because they're in my way. I just can't enjoy a buzz anymore.

Brings to mind the Germans that I befriended 15 years ago while working for nestle. They loved coming to America for all of the microbrew choices! Said that Germany was once that way but now there's only a handful of choices. Seems that pattern is repeating?

Small local high quality --> gobbled up by big Central remote Giants. Rinse and repeat.

I drink the crap out of Bud Light! WHY? Because if I want to drink a BUNCH of beer (like in the pool on a hot sunny afternoon) then I don't worry about calories or getting drunk! Even keel beer buzz, 100 cals a piece!! Give me 12!!

Yes, the watery domestic cr@p is good when you're in the hot sun... when I lived on the coast and went sailing on a regular basis, I sailed all day, and drinking craft beer all day in the hot sun is not a good scenario. Besides, glass bottles become a marine safety issue: you don't want broken glass all over the cockpit. A rack of tinnies is the way to go, they won't getcha too hammered and the dead soldiers aren't a safety issue. To this day, I still drink domestic beer like Bud or Coors during the day, if I want good beer I'll look for something special, but this Biden economy doesn't really allow me to drink the good stuff all the time. It'd be too much anyway... Sol is one Mexican beer I like when I'm in the hot sun, it's light enough not to get me all hammered, and it tastes pretty good with a fresh lime wedge jammed in the bottle.

FarmOR, one of my six surviving brothers lives in Germany, he married a German gal and he'll probably live out his days overseas, as two other brothers are doing in Italy & Korea. The brother in Germany has no problem buying different craft beers, including 'monastery beer.' That stuff is bad@ss, that monastery beer... like a meal in a glass, lol. Reminds me of that old T-shirt I used to see in my 'school daze'---the one that said "BEER IS FOOD!!!" Moi, I like all kinds of beer and ale brewed round the world, but my favorite beer of all time would have to be Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale out of the Old Tadcaster Brewery in Yorkshire, England. Yorkshire's oldest brewery, established in 1758, so those boyz know how to brew good ale, lol. In my time, I've sampled beer & ale from many different countries, but that Winter Welcome Ale remains my all-time favorite.

Edit: Had the T-shirt slogan backwards, lol... been awhile since I saw the shirt. Now I REALLY have to go water and do the weeding, ugh.

I only drink Bug Light on days that have a "Y" in them. If it's party night and we are going to be drinking for a long time, it will be Bud Light or Bud Select. I will bring my 25 piece patio set to every party: a case of beer and a lawn chair.

When my son was flying for the AF he brought me a case of beer from Germany.
Best beer I ever drank. I didn't share it with anyone.
I drink very little beer now but when I do it's usually a hefeweizen.
Back when I drank gallons a week it didn't really matter what it was as long as it was cold.
I took a tour of the Rainer brewery in Seattle. There was a counter that kept track of every barrel of beer pumped to the bottling plant. It was clicking faster than 1time per second and every time it clicked it was $64 in tax.
I told the tour guide my BIL and I were trying to keep up with the clicker and he said he appreciated that.
Now a complaint.
Who came up with the idea of putting fruit in my beer glass.
If I want orange juice or lemon aid I wouldn't have ordered beer.
If the beer is so bad they have to hide the taste get something else.
