Thats is kids who rule, right? Sadly I have a couple of them in my family.
I believe the antonym of feral would be well behaved or civilized.
Feral:
in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication.
"a feral cat"
synonyms: wild, untamed, untamable, undomesticated, untrained
"feral dogs"
  • resembling a wild animal.
    "a feral snarl"
synonyms: fierce, ferocious, vicious, savage, predatory, menacing, bloodthirsty

It is called discipline not dictatorship.
Too many kids rule the roost not a days. I love kids. But they do need to show some respect for adults too. My last visit with my youngest grandkid was fun once we understood who was the adult. I told him to take a bath he said not yet ,WHAT. So I just told him him and his techtronics were all going to take a bath together and although he was 11 I was still stronger than him. So I took him to the shower and he took off the ear things and put up the iphone and got into the shower. His mom came back from store and said " so you took a bath". It was our secret.

I don't have kids just dogs. Easier to train them and the state can't tell me how to raise or educate them. LOL

I have dogs too and enjoy my grand and greats but it takes a few day for them to figure out who they are dealing with. Most are ok but a couple of them need some 'guidance'.
Well, I approach all dogs as the Alpha. It's served me well. With kids not so much. LOL

Dogs are easy. They can't sass. I'm sitting here now looking at my old dog a few feet away on the porch. Will be seeing my grandkids in a few weeks. Can't wait. But old dogs are also precious.
My dog doesn't go next doors and get bad habits from the neighbors dog. She also isn't going to threaten to call 911 because she can't go to the dance with a male dog 5 years older than her. Maybe the only similarity between my dog and a real girl is any coyote coming around to harass her would be shot if it survived her kicking it's butt. LOL

@phideaux oh yes there are "feral" people as well as cats and they can mirror feral cats really well, and then of course you have the feral children that the parents tend to not notice when they reek mass destruction everywhere too. Hope your wife recovers quickly.

@Spikedriver not good your daughter has Influenza A :( , were you also diagnosed with it as you weren't feeling well ?. Be very careful with watching your daughter with that flu as DH and I had it and it developed into bacterial pneumonia, it is vicious and usually comes back for a second bite at most who get it. We trial out the flu viruses first in Australia and then the rest of the world follow usually.

@squirrelhunter sorry for your loss as well as @Double R about your mum.

Double R glad you like my posts and get good information. I am a late in life child to my parents therefor learnt some valuable things from my grandmother from the depression years. Often the oldest methods are the best and can nearly never be improved as they lived so providently back then. Kids are the best and what comes out of their mouths is priceless but really hard to keep a serious face and look at them disapprovingly when they say things like that too when you are in charge of them in a nursery situation :D .

I am letting the beef simmer until 10:50 and then I am going to eat some more beef and reduce the sauce.

Anyone else doing anything exciting?
Time to get busy with that meat. LOL Can't wait to try a beef brisket in my new pressure cooker.

I have a big bowl of shredded beef (the picture doesn't do it justice) and I used part of it to make 2 sliders (the picture doesn't do them justice either). The sauce is reducing on the stove. Yum!

Get your less expensive cuts and use the crock pot. ;) :D
Wrong time of year for that here. Spring is the most expensive beef around here while in the late summer and fall as fairs are held prices fall dramatically.

I wish I could give you all of the expensive.
