Hey @Justin76 ! How is the move progressing?

I'm about to break out the soft gentle guns... May pops, used to step on them when I was kid. Passiflora incarnata. It's an excellent sleep aid, non addictive. I'll be back asleep in about 20, 15, 10.... night! I know you recognize this plant. I make a tincture from the blooms... ;D

Hey @Justin76 ! How is the move progressing?

Im still here....

Slowly bit by bit getting things put in place, need to get tickets this weekend for a 10 day trip in April to get things started to be sorted out. I need to get my US drivers license again, that was all lost in a wallet I left in a taxi about 8 years ago, looking for work is another thing I need to get done....
I wont be actually moving until August/September, depends on what these Air/Army National Guard recruiters lie to me about. If I don't get the jobs I want then they aren't getting my signature...

The "plan" is I go first, get the Guard/Reserve enlistment and schooling out of the way and then my wife and son follow after she finishes her hours for her international license in therapy. That should be around the following March/April time frame hopefully....

Have Chinese New Year starting next week....

Passion Fruit flowers....
Does that actually work?
Those things grow semi wild all over the place here, I made the mistake of planting them on our fence line 2 years ago and I can still see them growing in the jungle behind our house.

Happy New Year!! I'm glad to hear that things are moving along. Transitions like y'all are going through are like going to the bathroom. The job's not done till the paperwork is complete! Ha!
Continued good luck @Justin76 !

I was speaking of Passiflora incarnate which is a different species than Passiflora edulis (passion fruit). They are a closely related species, the fruits of both species are edible. However, I know nothing of the medicinal qualities Passiflora edulis.

It wouldn’t be hard for you to find out, just stop by a Chinese medicine shop, they could tell you. P. incarnate is an excellent sleep aid, non-addictive. People in the states sometimes use it to quit smoking. It’s very calming, takes the edge off.

I have wanted to grow some of these, but I think Colorado gets too cold for them.

Has anyone tried this “Holmes” brand of canned vegetables from the market? The only canned veggie I’ve ever liked is the Le Sueur early sweet peas, until I tried the Holmes brand. Their black-eyed peas are good, their field peas are fantastic. I was stunned by how good they were. I've had home prepared field peas that didn’t compare.

I thought I’d try their “Pepper n Peas” tonight. I first saw this brand around here a couple of months ago. :)

I think it means they had a lot of responsibility or maybe gave a lot of adult guidance to children. It's just a spin on the role as a parent.
Adulting is doing the actions and responsibilities expected of adults without complaint or reward for doing so. It is the quintessential action of being an adult.

Yeah it is taking care of adult responsibilities and usually used when you would rather be doing something else. I went to the credit union today, had heating oil delivered, paid bills, and went through a bunch of medical bills to reconcile what people were charging me versus what the insurance company said they should charge me.

Picking up the motorcycle next week is not considered adulting. That is fun.

So I now feel I have a good recipe for 308 win using 3031. Tonight I loaded up 8 more rounds with IMR 4320 to test the next time it isn't snowing, raining or blowing like a hurricane outside. A day like today would do just fine even if there is still snow on the ground.

This was me the day after my first Bike.

You are way braver than me. I crashed a dirt bike as a kid, hit a ditch and got thrown through a barn wall, never had the nerve to get back on..
