You still up @gumpy ? I know you're hurtin after a 10 hour day. It's already been raining here... A few days of nasty weather comin' How did the doc appointment go?
Hey Mon! I took a nap about 8:00pm so I'm rested some now. Pain level is pretty high. The pain Dr is who I had to see yesterday. I gotta go every month and pee in a cup and get another script.
Yepir! It started raining here bout 9ish and hasn't stopped yet. What a mess!

Hope it fines up for you there @gumpy and your pain levels ease too, I always found the few times I had steroid injections for my back pain that it did help.

I used to get the facet injection for my spine till they quit working. I have an appointment with the surgeon who's going to do my knee replacement in a couple of weeks for a cortisone shot. I'm trying to wait till I get this project done I'm working on first before the surgery.

I had one in my heel before I gave up. It took me 2 days to come off of it to sleep and had major heartburn. I think I won't do it again.
When it hurts bad enough you'll think about it again. The side effects are rough!

It is still pouring outside! I'll bet it's rained 3" tonight! Wow!

Yes understand @gumpy why you want to finish your project first as it is a long recuperation period after a knee reconstruction. They wanted me to do that years ago too but I didn't get it done and instead built up the muscles around the knee through exercise. My kneecap when it goes out ends up at the back of my knee but now I have done more exercises it only happens around once a year and I reconnect it myself  but the pain goes away in around a half an hour. I damaged and stretched the ligaments in it.

Yes, I will if I'm hurting like I was before my foot surgery, for sure. But, hopefully my heel surgery is successful and esp if I "mind" my doc it will heal w/out further ado. They say Dr's and nurses are the worst patients though!:dunno:

You're a tough woman! Mine's bone on bone and cutting and fraying tendons and nerves. I just hate to slow down any. I have things to accomplish before I "Shuffle off this mortal coil", lol. On raining days like today, 2" since midnight, I take care of wife jobs. She volunteered me to cut 18ea 10' long cedar poles for one of her friends to build a raised garden. That's 6 good sized Cedar trees cut and hand carried to the road, in the rain. Maybe she'll give us some fresh veggies out of it.
I'm done ramblin now!

Gumpy....you're having knee replacement???
I'm sposed to. I'm holding off till I can't walk or my leg gets numb all the way.

This is my ortho surgeon. Ha!

I know two women who have had theirs done, one both knees, the other one. Both do not regret getting it done and the one wishes she had done it years before when her doc was pushing for it. The other wishes her doc would have quit saying she wasn't old enough leaving her to suffer for years. Her new doc said of course you need a knee and no you're not too young. She was knocking on the door of 70.

Seems legit to me. LOL Just be aware of any infections after surgery as 100% of issues I've seen friends and family deal with were caused by infections. Also get the bionic upgrade, no difference in strength but that cool bionic noise really impresses the ladies.

@gumpy you are a good man Charlie Brown, you wife will likely keep you

I feel pretty good at the moment. I found several photos in a folder named "unknown". I took a picture of a plant about 2011. Back then it took me days, sometimes weeks to identify a plant I'd never seen. Tonight it took me about 10 minutes, I think I know what it is... a rare plant in these parts. I posted it in "Post a Photo" for all of you to see.

So yes, feeling good. I enjoy learning something new. :)
