I'm not waiting in my car. I'm sitting in my home in the city at the moment. But when I told my husband over lunch "If we get stuck in this city, and all hell breaks out and we are unable to get to the cabin, I may never be able to forgive you. I can't see that waiting a day, or 2 more, will change the inevitability of the impending chaos for America." He silently, after lunch, began loading the cars and is doing so as I am typing this. We're leaving for our BOL cabin as soon as the cars are loaded. Sigh of relief here.

Our boxes are packed and ready to load into our BO vehicles. But my husband, the perpetual optimist, doesn't want to go to our BOL "until something actually happens", he said this morning. Man, I've been fighting this doubting Tom personality for months on this issue. He's in denial this is actually going down. What part of the THEY DON'T CARE WHAT THE BALLOT RESULTS ARE does he not understand? I'm so afraid this "wait and see" approach may end up biting us in the butt. If the roadway to our BOL gets blocked with the chaos that I feel certain is impending, we could get stuck here in the city (my worst fear in all this). The lion's share of our preps are down at our cabin, NOT HERE. We're sitting along an interstate between two major metropolitan areas that may become a hub of activist movement in Texas, so road blockages are a distinct possibility IMHO. Can you hear the low, quiet Grrrrrrr?

If the National Guard have been deployed where you are, you need to leave now...in my humble opinion.

No national guard here yet. That's why he thinks we can at least wait until tomorrow to go. But the Guard HAS been called up for Austin (1 hour south of me) and Dallas (2 hrs. north of me), along with 3 other cities, in anticipation of post election unrest. Rooftop sniper-type "practice" activity was seen/captured on video in the last Austin chaos, so I think it will get much worse this time around in Austin. I'm sure the authorities there think so, too. My husband is now willing to leave for the cabin early tomorrow, but would much prefer to wait until somehting in our immediate area justifies it. What can I say? He's been a procrastinator all his life. I'm the military brat that is always ready 3 days early for every event in our lives. LOL

My husband is like that with some instances. It is like he doesn’t want to accept something that has not happened here in the US before. But just because we haven’t seen a total breakdown in our country since the Civil War doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

I hope they at least have ammo in their weapons. Anyone else remember when the US Marines guarding the Marine barracks in Lebanon were forbidden to have a loaded magazine in their M-16s?🤪

I am definitely the prepper in the family. My husband has come around to buying what I say we need. Before he wasn't like that. I have money squirrel ed away that he doesn't know about and so does mom. My just in case money.

look into back roads.in which there's probably a dozen back routes y'all can choose from.

Well I'm just hoping with both fingers crossed that I am prepped enough. Today I see what looks like the US turning socialist on the same day the UK government orders us into another full month hard lockdown causing critical damge to our society and economy and a huge attack on freedom in the UK.

There is an increasing buzz that our country is going to have Very hard times coming soon. Things like people starving and total fighting in the streets. Am getting my lists out and taking another good look at what might be needed. Everyone please do the same.

alll part of the DNC master plan - they knew their election fraud gambit wouldn't work in the long run >>> thus the "Biden is President"

if you thought the DNC had ANTIFA/BLM going this summer >>> wait until "Trump "stole" the election from Biden" - another black excuse to loot - even the Everyday Joe DNCer hanger-ons will be protesting - How better way to energize a dying Party?

out yesterday >> Trump Tweet about a 3;30AM dump of WI Biden ballots - just shy of 200,000 - all electronically documented

As posted on another thread, I am switching from firearms to PCP Air Rifles. Lack of firearm ammo is the reason. I can't replace my existing ammo, so I plan to make the switch. These are not kids toys, they are real small game takers. Plus, suppressors are legal on air rifles, without any permits. Thinking of getting the 25 caliber rifle and a 30 caliber can (suppressor). Might have a machinist make a special screw on adapter for the can, just to make it more versatile.

The UK is now sailing in very dangerous waters, Extra lock downs, massive unfunded public spending, now the government announces that all petrooilium and diesel powered vehicle production must end within ten years, and move everyone onto electric vehicles that cost 4 times more than a petrol version. They are also trying to outlaw wood burning stoves and gas fired central heating systems all to appease the loony greens.

Its going to cause absolute chaos in the near future, and prepping for state sponsored stupidity is darn difficult.

I subscribe to his channel and enjoy it. Problem is, it is a Rolls Royce and I am on a beer (actually soda) budget. His scope costs more than my planned purchase. I am getting the Air Venturi Avenger, Regulated PCP Air Rifle.

OK lets work within your budget, the Avenger has a good reputation in the US but it can be improved usually with an after market REGULATOR, I dont know what sells in the US but the very best are the Huma regulators from Holland, they are far better than ANY factory regulator. so more full power shots per fill, more consistant pellet velocity, and a longer sweet spot. Do you have better quality after market magazines available in the US for the Avenger?? thats always an improvement. I use CARM magazines from Europe.

You need to find out by experimentation which pellets work best with your gun, it takes time and effort to find the best.

.22 or .25 give the best overall result but I know you Merkins like .30 in your 45 ft pound plus air guns.
