Back in high school we watched a group attempting to get into a 70's pickup they had locked their keys in.

About 12 people tried to reach the lock through the wing window. As some of you know, you need another elbow to do that. About an hour later we were done with our work so I walked over and asked if I could give it a try.

Sure they said, so I reached in the wing window and cranked the window down. Boy did they feel stupid about then. We laughed about it all the way home.

Ahhh.... nothing like a fresh cloud of dust in the spring and wondering why your feet are cold in the fall with the heater on high.

My 69 Nova had vents and one of them was stuck open. A guy could freeze in the winter. I didn't drive it in the winter. It was not a good car for slick roads.
Wing windows were the best thing ever if you were a smoker.

I had an '86 Chevy with floor vents. They were terribly drafty but the heater worked well enough to cover it up. That is, until the thermostat went bad one Christmas Eve day on my 70 mile drive home from college. It was about 15 below and I spent half the evening in the bathroom with a space heater on me and my frozen feet soaking in a tub of warm water...
