My Dad asked the guy at the farm store if he knew anything about chicken that laid blue eggs. They were also supposed to be lower in cholesterol.
The guy said he never heard of them. Two weeks later he called my Dad and said your chicks are here. Dad asked what chicks and the guy said the ones that lay blue eggs.
He gave the grown chickens to a neighbor because they were not fit to eat.
Be very careful in the Farm store.
