I had a dear friend who just couldn't pass up bargains. He once bought a 100 pack of the really cheap plastic cigarette lighters for $1. He didn't smoke!

A 20lb bag of onions or potatoes marked down? He couldn't pass them up, gave them away for days. Many times I've seen him in town and the first thing he says to me is "need any onions?"

He used to crack me up. Definitely eccentric, he bought his clothes at goodwill and cut the grass at apartment buildings he owned... He was one of a kind.

Eccentric? I'd call him practical. A shirt from Goodwill will last just as long as a more expensive new shirt. Why lose profit paying others to do the work if you are able to do it yourself?
