Never heard of a whiteneck but I've seen my share of rednecks and I think he qualifies.
Back in the day - - "redneck" was a term applied by, um, Civilized folk to farmers and other 'country' people who tended to work out in the sun a lot. Sometimes without a neckerchief; kerchief; bandana; whatever you want to call them thangs. May have morphed into a term for folks got excited and "used strong language and got all het up". Hell, I dunno anymore - about rednecks or hardly anything else.

I think the "You might be a redneck" skits really took it a different direction.

Always have been one and will die a redneck.
Sure, we do talk funny in our original dialect. Most of it is just to shorten the time it takes to say something.
And I hate to burst their bubble, but it is not a derogatory term and never has been.
Today it means someone that can accomplish amazing things with little or nothing to work with. :)
Many people on this forum do that.

The only things missing was seeing who could clutch-jump over a 6 pack and a can shoot!

Well, there may a member or two who (going by their posts) don't seem to have much to work with.

[Sorry, couldn't resist. Maybe because I'm one of them.] :ghostly:
